Gender Dramas 1: Opposites Attract

Girl attracts boy. Boy pursues. Girl resists. Boy persists.

Probably the most widespread conflict in human history and, for many, the most fun.

Flirting and romance, subjects of vast volumes of literature down through the ages, seem to be driven by primal urges… such as feminine urges to attract and unite, and masculine urges to conquer and dominate.

These urges that can excite us in love, can divide us in society. They spice up the inner workings of our social groups, but indiscriminate spice can ruin the meal. Flirting and romance in inappropriate places at inappropriate times with inappropriate people can generate friction and conflicts in our schools, clubs, companies … in any social systems where males and females interact.

This age-old drama tracing back to the fruits of Eden are what I want to explore in this series of articles… with some surprises along the way.

Here are some of the touchy subject areas I hope to penetrate (sic) in the coming weeks with these articles:

How different cultures get into the battle of the sexes in different ways, with different results… from the sexiness of western democracy to the restraints in the Muslim world.
How the celebration of romance (free love) and its repression (enforced celibacy) can both spin off into different kinds of problems in society… is there a safe balance?
Whether sex idols in today’s world, especially hot women in movies and rock concerts and TV shows, can be affected at a spiritual level by the carnal desires of millions of lusty men aimed in their direction.
The hormonal and genetic differences between boys and girls… men and women.
How it all traces back to our noble-savage heritage.
How romance and sexuality are powerful forces on Earth, and how we contend with them can shape our afterlife.

Could be an interesting series. We’ll see how it comes together (sic).

In any case, it all seems to trace back to some very basic differences between males and females that make life on Earth interesting!

Eden, Our Ancient Birthright

When humans from Eden were marooned on Earth long ago…

… their progeny became immersed in a drama that would play out across the ages into the modern era.

Through it all, the astral template of the physical planet Eden has provided refuge to weary human souls after a grueling lifetime on Earth. We all have the opportunity to return to paradise at the end of our earthly lives.

All it takes is a little effort to transcend the drama before we die… to get in touch with our inner self….

As the ethereal being Technician told us through ITC systems 20 years ago this summer:

Fear of death is one of the most distressing concepts of human culture. It is based on the conscious belief that your bodily existence offers life and security, which it never wants to lose. Fear of death therefore is evidence of the mind having lost its roots. It shows a spiritual being who has far removed itself from its higher self.

You owe this mentality largely to an intellectual and scientific way of thinking. It wants all thoughts reduced to a comprehensible level of material existence.

The church also has many difficulties. These days, the churchgoer knows very little about heaven, hell and life after death. Indeed, a large number of them deny these things. Such skepticism which is most prevalent among those who are wise and worldly could easily influence and corrupt people of simple faith and pure heart.

Heaven is in man and those who have heaven within themselves go to heaven. Heaven is in all those who recognize what is of God and let themselves be guided by the Divine. The priority and basic concern of every religion is the acknowledgement of God!

Tapping On Heaven’s Door

Life isn’t easy for us noble-savage humans in a noble-savage world, but there are certainly ways to make the most of it. There’s adventure, drama, and romance for those who crave it… and given our biological makeup, especially our hormones, we all crave it at various times in our lives.

But for what it’s worth… if it’s peace, happiness, success, and a ticket to a paradise afterlife that you want, by far the best technique I’ve found is heart meditation. It’s what the ethereals taught to the Titans of Atlantis: “seek wisdom and knowledge from the Source through the heart.”

I think that when most people look at my spirit face photos they feel a little fear… a foreboding. Not a big fear, just a pervasive sense that… well, something’s not right.

If these really are spirits that are showing up (and I’m certain that they are), most people don’t want to know about it… because there’s something just not right about it.

I’ve come to realize that, indeed, something’s not right with the spirit face photos specifically… and with other such glimpses into the “paranormal” in general—ghost videos, EVPs, investigations into hauntings and spirit possession….

That’s what we’ll explore in this article—what’s not right with our forays into the realms of spirit—but first let’s explore the substance of our fears.

A Word About Fear

Fear can be debilitating. Moderate levels of anxiety can make restlessness and dissatisfaction a way of life.

In extreme cases, toxic fear can bring out the worst in us humans.

Some people become religious zealots who hate the world in the name of God. (example)
Others become crusaders who attack the reputations of good people. (example)

In the latter case, the attack is against honest, hard-working researchers who did their best and got exceptional results—George Meek, Adolf Holmes, and Maggy Fischbach. I worked closely with them in the 1990s. Though I never met Holmes personally, we corresponded on various occasions, both directly and through our mutual friend and colleague, physics professor Dr Ernst Senkowski. I considered myself a good friend of Meek and Maggy for a time… until fear entered the picture and eroded the relationships.

A story in itself….

In any case, human fears of all kinds stir up mistrust and mayhem in the world.

So let’s look at the root of fear. Some experts try to boil fears down into several basic types or classifications.

Faces in the Mist 5: Visits from Beyond

Nearly everyone who dies on Earth resumes life in an astral body, which is a subtle template of their physical body… and that astral body/mind awakens in some kind of astral surroundings:

French author Jules Verne awakened in a lavish temple after his death. Read more

These are just a few of the many afterlife experiences reported first-hand by spirit friends of ITC researchers in recent years. All of these folks eventually wound up in a conglomerate astral paradise called Marduk, or Eden.

As I’ve stated elsewhere, I’m 100 percent convinced of the legitimacy of those contacts.

After years of contemplation, I’ve come to believe that the spirit world Marduk is an astral template of the physical planet Eden (Marduk) that circled our sun in an orbit between Mars and Jupiter up until some 4 billion years ago, when it erupted in a massive explosion. All that has remained of Eden since the explosion are 1) the countless asteroids and debris that have been ravaging our solar system ever since… and 2) the astral paradise Eden that continues to flourish with life in an astral universe that’s superimposed over our physical universe.

All material things, including planets, have spirit bodies superimposed imperceptibly over their material bodies. During an ITC phone dialog in 1992, our spirit friends told researcher Maggy Fischbach about a “shadow world” of the Earth inhabited by spirits, many of them confused, who interact with our world in strange ways, just beyond the perception of our senses and sciences. Crop circles apparently come from the shadow world of Earth, as do most of the strange spirit phenomena we hear about or see on youtube… including a lot of EVP voices captured with recording devices.

Asteroids Pummeled Earth for 2 Billion Years

Science is closing in on Eden. A few days ago scientists published two reports in Nature providing solid evidence that Earth was bombarded by asteroids on a steady basis for half its known lifespan—from 4 billion to 2 billion years ago… a much longer stretch of time than previously believed.

One of the two studies concludes that the asteroids that crashed into our world frequently for 2 billion years came from the asteroid belt, which rings the sun between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.

The study didn’t speculate as to how or why the asteroids achieved their initial momentum and velocity to leave orbit and speed toward Earth. Was it because…

… God was pissed?

… the Earth sucks?

… our universe is part of some intricate video game being played by a giant kid in front of a macrocosmic laptop?

… the heavenly bodies foresaw the evolution of modern conservative politics and wanted to nip it in the bud?

More likely… a Saturn-size planet (Eden, or Marduk) blew up 4 billion years ago, sending a hellish storm of shrapnel flying everywhere in the solar system, and it took a couple billion years for the chaos to settle down. (see my previous post)

Scientists seem to be closing in on the truth about Eden… as long as they don’t diverge into one of their silly modern epicycles.

The Beauty that was Eden

(I’m taking a short break from the spirit-faces series of articles, which is proving to be a big challenge because of the importance and depth of the conclusions. Hopefully this coming week I can wrap it up…. Meanwhile this article about meteorites as modern clues to our ancient heritage is loosely related to the spirit face photos, in that the spirit faces too offer clues to our ancient heritage… as you’ll see, hopefully, next week.)

Pallasites are the most beautiful type of all known meteorites… suggestive of the magnificence of Eden, whence they came. When the planet Marduk, or Eden, exploded, its silica-rich mantle fused with its iron-nickel core to form pallasites like the one from which this thin, polished cross-section was taken.

Nearly all of the asteroids that populate our solar system (and there are billions of them!) were formed by the self-destruction of planet Eden, or Marduk, more than 4 billion years ago, when it circled the sun in an orbit between Mars and Jupiter.

You’re not likely to find that fact in any history books… that Eden was a planet between Mars and Jupiter that was destroyed by the massive technologies of its superhuman inhabitants!

In fact, the only books you’re sure to find it in are my paperback The Project and my Kindle ebook The Noble-Savage Project. But I have no doubt whatsoever that nearly all of the asteroids in our immediate cosmic neighborhood are shrapnel from the late planet Eden.

When the asteroids are pulled to Earth by our planet’s gravity they become fiery meteorites that often cause explosions and/or impact craters, like the minivan-sized meteorite that fell in the California mountains last week.

Eden was much larger than Earth—like a basketball beside a bead—and, according to my ITC sources, it was inhabited by humans far superior to us modern humans in terms of biology, temperament, technology… and just about any other measure.

Eden was probably far more opulent than Earth… richly endowed with crystals and metals… gems and precious elements. According to a recent space.com article, even the smallest metallic asteroid near the Earth contains more metal than all the metal mined in Earth’s history!

What a paradise Eden must have been!

By comparison, Planet Earth 4 billion years ago must have been a dusty piece of rubble.

What’s left of Eden today, besides vague legends, are the many rich mineral deposits on Earth that were formed when wealth-laden shrapnel of Eden pummeled our planet time and time again over many millions of years.

What’s also left of Eden today are the billions of mineral-rich asteroids and meteoroids floating among the nearby planets. Hence the coming gold rush in outer space.

Iron-nickel meteorites, like this one at the American National History Museum, were formed as the iron core of planet Eden flew into space after the explosion and congealed into metal globs.

And what’s ALSO left since the explosion of the physical Eden, is its spirit-world template… an astral planet that religions call Heaven or Jannah or Pitraloka.

Faces in the Mist 4: Deafening Silence

Sorry it’s taking so long to finish this short series… but I’ve been baffled… trying to figure things out.

These Polaroid photos of spirit faces are some of the most amazing and important phenomena of the past century, yet they seem to draw little interest. They clearly show the faces of invisibles—spirits—intimately enmeshed in our world, in close interaction with us carnal humans. They provide some of the best physical evidence to date of nonphysical existence!… evidence that blows away the spiritual blinders of materialistic science!!… but no one cares.* And that’s baffling.

(* When I say “no one,” of course I mean no one outside a small circle of seekers and supporters who’ve followed the work closely and know it’s legitimate.)

Hm, do people really not care… or could there be some other reason why the general reaction to the pictures is… well, dead silence?

That’s what I’ve been ruminating about for more than a decade, especially over the past month… and particularly the past few days as I try to complete this series of articles.

And I’ve come up with some possible reasons why the pictures are generally ignored.

First of all, people who don’t know me and are unfamiliar with my work probably assume these photos are faked… photo-shopped. And that’s understandable. If I were to see these pictures for the first time, with no background knowledge of the research behind them, I’d probably assume it was all a hoax unless I could be convinced otherwise. After all, thousands of hoaxes can be found on the Internet. Why not this?

So let’s zoom in a bit to consider people who are intrigued enough by the pictures to dig a little deeper. They study the vast, serious, and credible results of ITC on our www.worlditc.org website… and their gut feeling begins to tell them that these are genuine Polaroid photos that clearly seem to capture nonphysical human (spirit) faces showing up with physical human faces on film.

I know there are many people like that out there. We’ve had hundreds of thousands of visitors to our website over the years… and it’s inevitable that visitors leave that site, after exploring it in some depth, with the realization that something unusual and something real is going on in ITC.

I’m fairly confident that those people have a sense that there’s a legitimate basis for these spirit face photos, but even from them there’s a complete silence about the pictures.

An acquaintance of mine, Dan Drasin—a bright, serious filmmaker from California—accompanied me to a workshop I hosted at the Wainwright House in New York, and he captured the event on film as I got some excellent results… including the picture at the far right in the above collage… the picture of a woman whose late son was present that night in spirit and showed up with his mom on film.

Even Dan apparently hasn’t figured out how to reconcile the spirit faces. He’s worked on afterlife documentaries since my workshop, but the photos from that evening have not been included.

For me, the spirit face phenomenon is an eye-popper, and it’s hard to understand why people who know it’s for real aren’t shouting it from the rooftops!

Well, I’ve come up with several possible reasons for that.

Or maybe what I’ve come up with is just several different ways of looking at one single reason… one important reason that rests at the core of our being.

In any case, here’s what I think might be happening. (And I’m not talking now about Dan so much as the many other people from various walks of life who have dug into the phenomenon deeply enough to know that something real is going on here… but still they remain quiet.)

First, many of the pictures are indeed vague and blurry, and it’s easy for the skeptical mind to shrug them all off as the result of camera motion… to toss out the pearls (the pictures that clearly have distinct, different faces in them) with the oyster shells, as minds fettered by dogma (be it religious or scientific dogma, or any other form of rigid thinking) tend to do.

Second is the boggle factor. We all have our own unique mental model of reality, forged by the information streaming into our five senses. We take the things we see and hear, and the things we learn from school and church and science and the media… and we patch it all together into an inner roadmap of the world.

It’s a dynamic roadmap, but only to an extent. As new information streams into our mind everyday, we try to redraw the roadmap accordingly. But if certain new information is too radical… if the model would have to be broken and rebuilt to accommodate it, then the mind becomes boggled. The thought of breaking the model is scary, so our mind snaps shut. It rejects all of the new, threatening information, even if it’s accompanied by good, solid evidence… even indisputable proof!

The boggle factor.

Third, the pictures are just plain spooky, and we humans shy away from spooky stuff… especially when it’s up close and personal, like these spirit face photos.

I’m not sure if these are three different reasons why people might ignore strange phenomena like this, or if they’re three different situations relating to the same basic reason… fear.

I suspect the latter.

So I’m going to continue this series to explore the nature of our fear of the unknown, to see if I can uncover the source of that fear and ways to overcome it.

Faces in the Mist 3: Amazement in the Basement

As you might imagine, after buying the luminator in 1999 and setting it up in my basement lab, I took so many pictures in the first few months… you’d think I’d gone paparazzi. When friends and relatives visited, I raved about this new gadget and the amazing spirit faces that showed up on film… and invited them down to the lab for photos.

A few of them were intrigued and eager, a few others were creeped out and wanted nothing to do with it… but I’m sure most of them obliged just because of my enthusiasm. Most of those pictures of friends I let them keep, so I don’t have them in my files.

However, wife Regina and I took a lot of pictures of each other, and those are among the pictures I’m posting in this article, again, with a brief comment below each one. (A couple of the pictures of me were taken at The Monroe Institute during one of my workshops there.)

If you look closely, half of my face (right) is replaced by a spirit face peering out to the side. I think it's my late father, Blair Macy. He was mostly bald, like the guy in this picture.

Here’s the face looking off to the side… not real clear, but you get the idea. Compare it with the lifetime picture of my dad.

In this picture, my face is completely replaced by someone else.

In this picture there’s a light anomaly at the top of my head, and a face of a spirit (maybe a native American artist I knew in lifetime named Gene Standing Bear) is there with me.

This, I think, is my father’s face offset on the right of my face.

The right-hand face in this picture I believe to be Willis Harman, late president of the Institute of Noetic Science, who our spirit friends told us was working with my ITC group since his death. You can compare with his lifetime picture (inset).

Here’s Regina to compare against the spirit faces in the pictures below.

Regina is the upper face in this picture, while the more prominent face belongs to her late father, John Hoys (compare with John's lifetime picture, inset).

Again, Regina’s dad, John Hoys, replaced most of her face in this picture.

Regina is the pretty half-face on the left of this picture, and the swarthy fellow making up the right half of the face is unidentified.

Two or three spirit faces showed up in this picture, and we’re not sure which face, if any, is Regina.

The lower part of Regina’s face is replaced by an unidentified fellow.

And this is one of the most bizarre pictures we took. Regina was holding our black-and-white cat Sebastian, and a fellow with extreme puffy cheeks showed up for the picture. You can see the upper portion of Regina’s face, and the lower half of the spirit face, from about the center of his nose to the bottom of his chin. Very strange.

With the next post I plan to wrap up this series with an examination of where these faces most likely come from and how they manifest on film. MM

Faces in the Mist 2: New York

Here’s the second batch of spirit face photos pulled from my archives… these from New York. They were taken at the Wainwright House in Rye (events in 2001 and 2002) and at the Edgar Cayce ARE Center in Manhattan (2004).

Again, I’ll start with what I consider some of the best examples of those pictures. You may have seen some of them in my books and websites.

Classic Spirit Face Photos

Debbie Alberti felt that she and her husband John were soulmates. She was a jazz singer in the tri-state area (NY-PA-NJ), and John, a drummer, was leader of the band. When he died of massive heart failure during a tennis match, Debbie was devastated.

I took several pictures of Debbie when she attended my ARE workshop, and John appeared miraculously in one of them… along with a surprise appearance (in the same photo) by who I think is the late Edgar Cayce.

How our spirit friends do things like this—creating a collage of two distinct faces to be caught on film—I still haven’t figured out.

That’s John… the face on the left.

And the face on the right, I believe belongs to the late Edgar Cayce. After all, it was his New York center where we had the workshop.

One of my favorite photo subjects was Meme, a highly sensitive young woman who introduced herself at the same workshop. Her picture became the cover of a book.

Tianna had recently lost William, the love of her life, to illness. I took several pictures of her during my workshop, and William showed up clearly in one.

Here are some of the other interesting photos taken in New York, with a brief comment under each.

Some people, such as Lisa, seemed especially receptive to spiritual influences while I was taking pictures. I didn’t get a clear picture of her because so many spirits were trying to show themselves. In these two, she sees her father’s face in the picture on the left… and the fellow superimposed over her face in the right-hand photo she doesn’t recognize.

Lisa Huston (a different Lisa), a good friend of ours, was videotaping my workshop at the ARE Center. If you look closely you can see a fellow’s face peering out from the left of her face.

Nita has a thin-faced spirit person with her in the photo on the right.

“Peggy” was inspired to do tai-chi-like moves while being photographed. In the right-hand photo a spirit fellow seems to be sharing the experience.

“Connie” got an exceptionally clear picture of her son posing with her. Her son had died in an accident, so this picture was especially moving and meaningful to her.

These pictures of Elfie show a most interesting phenomenon that happened fairly often during these photo sessions with the luminator–a bleeding effect of the lights.

The bleeding effect also occurs on shiny silver jewelry, as in this picture of Judy.

The light phenomenon again, on Kevin’s picture. Also, if you look close, you’ll see a partially transparent spirit face off the left side of Kevin’s.

Paula also has the light phenomenon, as well as a face trying to form over her face.

I’m hoping that by sharing this cross-section of many photos with diverse results, you’ll get a feeling for how spiritual phenomena manifested in these photos taken with the luminator.

I’ll probably do just one more of these posts of spirit faces, as they don’t seem to attract the interest I thought they might.

Then, back into more grounded topics… well, “grounded” is a relative term, right? :-)
