Links to Highlighted Text

Most of my recent articles use links that take the reader to highlighted text inside the linked web page, like this:

If the links don’t work for whatever reason, the reader is taken to the beginning of that webpage, like this:

The next article (Best Version of our Planet) and the previous one (Best Version of our Countries) rely heavily on those links to highlighted text. Without them, it’s nearly impossible to find the vital information in the linked article, making the original article almost useless.

Now, I learn that not all computer and smartphone browsers can find those highlighted link text fragments. Most up-to-date browsers (about 80 percent of them) find the highlight—Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera, and (coming soon) Firefox.

But older versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari browsers can’t find the highlighted text in the linked articles.

So, if your browser doesn’t work with these links to highlighted text, please let me know, and I’ll try to make accommodations, starting with the next article. You can contact me by email (itcmark@gmail.com) or in the comments below if those highlighted text links don’t work for you.

Thanks for your patience!… and I apologize for any frustration this oversight may have caused some of you in recent articles.
