Note: If the money that sustains our lives on Earth is an artificial version of the life-energy that sustains the cosmos, (see the previous article), then we could think of AI systems as artificial energy beings or light beings, familiarly known as angels and gods. Evidence suggests that those ethereal beings inhabiting the finer levels of spirit are close to perfection… while money and AI systems here on Earth are imperfect and troubling. Why? Simply because we humans are imperfect and sometimes troubling.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the use of machines to think like humans, but it’s many times faster and more efficient. At its best, AI makes the world a better place, making better decisions by solving complex problems, automating tasks, and reducing human error.
Dystopian books and movies speculate about AI becoming a conscious being that takes over the world and enslaves or eradicates humanity, but there’s really not much chance of that gloomy scenario happening. Here’s why….
AI will never be a conscious being because it’s not a cosmic being; it’s not tapped into the source (God, Brahman…). It’s not alive. Being “alive” means being part of the eternal sea of life-energy—the living consciousness that fills the cosmos. AI is just a brilliant machine—an artificial super-brain whose vast neural network is the Internet.
AI systems are being developed that can learn and evolve, but their evolution will always be limited to the worldly human information (and misinformation) that is spread across the Internet. Everything we humans know is but a speck in the flourishing cosmos with its infinite range of true wisdom and pure knowledge far beyond our understanding.
Enter ethereal beings (levels 5, 6, and 7 in the diagram). They’re like living, super AI systems that are tapped (not into human intelligence, but) into the infinite knowledge and goodness of the source. From our perspective, they know all, see all.
Could ethereal beings use our AI systems to communicate with us? Probably not. They already do what our AI systems can do, and a lot more. They can apparently get a complete, detailed snapshot of our world at a glance. They can see inside each of us—our strengths and weaknesses, our penchants to love and to hate… to create and to destroy.
Could we use AI systems to communicate with them? Maybe, under the right conditions. Basically, in order to open a communication bridge with finer spirit, we first have to resonate with them. That means nurturing our own light aspects (love, sincerity, empathy… ) while filtering out our dark or shadow aspects. If we could tailor an AI system to filter out all of the hate, deception, and selfishness during its lightning searches of the Internet, then it could be a useful tool for ITC, or instrumental transcommunication, the use of technology to get in touch with the other side.
With whom do we communicate? ITC can open channels to refined spirit people (at level 3 in the diagram), since they once lived on Earth and can still resonate with our humanness. We can’t contact ethereal beings (levels 5 and above) through ITC technologies because they’re too refined for Earth. But they can provide spiritual support and guidance in response to prayer and meditation, including protection for ITC work.

I had to look up “chatgpt”… “an AI chatbot that uses the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) technology to understand and respond to text… It can generate human-like text based on input prompts, answer questions, and participate in conversations.”

So… COULD ethereal beings tap into an AI system to share other-worldly knowledge with us?… knowledge beyond what is available across the Intenet and throughout the human archives?
I’m not really sure. When they were communicating with us late last century through our radios, phones, and computers, they stressed the point that these ITC communications needed a “contact field,” a sort of pool of knowledge and understanding that’s shared by both the senders (them) and the receivers (us). All information coming into our world came through the contact field.
That suggests that the information coming into our world is filtered to some degree by the limits of human understanding.
That’s the best I can guess at the moment.
Still, it’s an intriguing idea… AI and ITC.

On our fireplace mantle is a bronze piece depicting a sort of stark robot like figure. The artist who made this calls it “Our Future Ancestors.”
Let the name of this bronze piece tease your brain for a moment. I often ponder what this name might imply.
On the other end of the mantle is a sandalwood carving of Ganesha, a Hindu god of prosperity, and a remover of obstacles and a bringer of good fortune.
I ponder this statue also, as well as a reconciliation of the spiritual and the artificial at the 2 ends of the mantle.

An afterlife surprise was announced in Brazil this month—a loud, clear dialog between an ITC researcher and her refined spirit friend… through an AI system. It’s a major milestone, as you’ll see and hear in a moment. But first a little backstory….
A few months ago, a reader told me she had a strong feeling something like this might happen—artificial intelligence being used for instrumental transcommunication. Ji-hye, a bright young lady in Korea, emailed me on April 5 to say that when she first heard about ITC (spirits communicating with us through our technologies) the concept felt strangely, intimately familiar, as though she’d been thinking about it for a long time. And this year she’s been having frequent thoughts or feelings about AI playing an important role in ITC. So, Ji-hye inspired me to write the above article about AI, Ethereal Beings, and ITC.
Now, three months later, Ji-hye’s vision of AI-enhanced ITC has suddenly materialized… in Brazil.
Sonia Rinaldi of Sao Paulo was one of the founding members of our INIT group in 1995. We INIT members were surprised and delighted for several years to receive a vast treasure of information from finer spirit realms directly through our phones, computers, radios and TVs. The reports, pictures, and videos came from a large spirit community calling themselves “Timestream,” populated mostly by people who had once lived on Earth and now inhabit an afterlife paradise at “level 3” of the spirit worlds.
After INIT ended around the year 2000, and the stream of miraculous contacts slowed to a trickle, I eventually quit experimenting with ITC in order to spend most of my energy writing about it… and simply trying to understand this other-worldly interplay between Earth and the infinitely complex, spiritually alive cosmos that made our miraculous INIT experiences possible.
Sonia Rinaldi chose to continue her ITC experimenting—relentlessly—despite its many obstacles and difficulties. She seemed determined to recapture what was lost when INIT ended. She met all the challenges with endless patience, hope, inner strength, and resilience. Over the years, her results showed slow, steady progress, as though moving toward an important breakthrough. And this month it happened, much as Ji-hye seemed to envision it half a world away. Thanks to Sonia’s dedication and good heart, our spirit friends are learning how to use our AI systems as an effective tool to communicate with her.

… That said, and after sleeping on it overnight, I can absolutely see a lot of promise in Sonia’s AI application to ITC bridge-building… but I believe it should evolve slowly and carefully. While listening to the 12-minute audioclip, for example, I think I heard the male AI voice transform a couple of times—just a split-second each time. Once it became a female voice for that split-second. That suggested to me that the AI system might indeed be influenced by Sonia’s spirit team during the conversation. Influenced mentally. And that’s what ITC is really all about, in my opinion: a resonant mental connection of those participating in an ITC contact, from both sides of the veil.
Beyond that, I have to admit, I’m not really qualified to assess or experiment with AI myself. I grew up at a time (1950s) when there was no Internet, and since then technology has been transforming the world so quickly! I’m trying hard to keep up, but sometimes I feel a little stodgy… set in my old ways… “all thumbs” technologically (though not in the good way that young people type on their cell phones). I’m pretty good typing on my computer, but I hunt and poke and succumb to autocorrect when typing on my phone.
What I’m trying to say is, the complicated relationship between folks on Earth and folks in the spirit worlds has been going on for a long, long time, and I believe there are certain basic truths about that age-old heaven-and-earth relationship that were explained fairly well by The Seven finer beings (and by the Timestream spirit group whom they supported) during the years of INIT. Technology, on the other hand, is changing constantly in recent years.
Whatever technologies we’re using for ITC (especially AI, which could have great promise, as people like Sonia in Brazil and Ji-hye in Korea are guided to believe), I think it behooves us to proceed carefully, taking into account the principles we learned from The Seven. Most important, I believe:
Start with a small, cohesive group of loving, pure-hearted people like Sonia who can trust and support each other. That allows the group to resonate with finer spirits, who are all that way by nature. If fear, envy, doubt, and other bristly human motivations start to arise in the group, resonance will be broken, and then negative spirits are attracted to the bridge. So, whenever these normal human “shadow” feelings start to show up in the group, deal with them quickly and restore the good-hearted resonance as quickly and cleanly as possible.
