Those Lights Over New Jersey? Drones, UAVs, UFOs?…

Out There #04

The dramatic, mysterious lights in the night skies above New Jersey from mid-November to mid-December, 2024… What were they?

There’s been a lot of speculation. The media generally refer to them as “drones” because drones are a familiar concept nowadays, although the objects displayed some un-drone-like qualities and behaviors that we’ll consider in a moment.

Let’s look for the answer through candid, first-hand reports by experts and credible eyewitnesses.

We’ll set aside accounts that seem too sensational or too constrained.
Sensational banter by conspiracy theorists, for example, knocks us out of our comfort zone and makes things a little chaotic. Truth is often lost in the chaos.
Constrained reports like scientific assessments and official government releases lock us into our comfort zone with an imposed order. Truth is often ignored or overlooked if it doesn’t fit the orderly agenda.

So, let’s see if we can find a few nuggets of truth in these recent events through the eyes of credible observers.

Credible Eyewitnesses

Rich McHugh, an award-winning reporter, said he saw at least 50 of the objects during his investigation with the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. “When this story first came out a few weeks ago, as a resident of New Jersey, as a journalist, I didn’t pay it much credence. I thought it would turn out to be a bunch of pranksters, and this would all be over by now, but the experience I had last night changed the way I feel about this story completely. What I saw was more sophisticated than I ever imagined.” McHugh said he saw U- or V-shaped, fixed-wing aircraft about 8 to 10 feet wide with multicolored, blinking lights. “Definitely not an airplane, but what was it?” he wondered.

Dr. Katherine Ramsland, a forensic psychologist, said, “I saw one going west with red blinking lights. Another one was coming toward it from the west, going east, and then the westward one suddenly turned around and went into formation with the one going east. The lights turned green, and then yellow.” Dr Ramsland said the drones were turning too fast and hovering too close to each other to have been planes. Also, she said, they didn’t make any noise.

Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy said his officers saw 50 drones coming off the coast moving along at various speeds but couldn’t detect them with their equipment because they didn’t emit heat the way drones normally do… something the department hadn’t experienced before. One of his officers, Kevin Fennessy, explained that they were using FlightRadar24 and other flight tracking software, but the equipment wasn’t able to produce any data about the objects. Still, he said, “I do think it’s some sort of drone out there. We saw a couple, one flying low at us that was coming basically straight on and stopped. Did a 180, went back, did a 180, and then took a big loop around us, probably out here in the bay to go south of us.” The sheriff’s officers described the drones as 3 or 4 feet long, twice the size of those used by their department. Another law enforcement agency reported one as large as 8 feet long.

John Ferguson of Saxon Aerospace, a military drone manufacturer, says the crafts’ movements are beyond commercial technology used by hobbyists, are apparently coordinated rather than individually controlled, and would require sophisticated navigation systems found in military-grade drones. (We’ll explore the military-grade drone possibilities in a moment.)

The FBI said it received more than 3,000 reports (between November 18 and December 18), averaging 92 sightings daily across six states.

Other First-Hand Accounts

Evan Cutler, a New Jersey TV host, writer and photographer, said, “Who knows what it was, but it was not the drone you see people fly. It was the size of a school bus… literally the size of a two-car garage. It’s getting closer and closer. At first I think it’s a plane or helicopter, then it’s hovering right over the woods … and it’s a drone, literally 40 feet by 40 feet wide.”

Garrrett Openshaw and Collin Lynch, working at the Asbury Hotel near the beach, reported seeing a dozen or more sedan-sized drones with red, white, and green lights flying in formation toward shore from the open ocean. “It was hard to tell if they were just shooting a movie or something,” said Lynch in the popular vacation town of Asbury Park.

Cassie Miller of nearby Monroe reported seeing two drones and captured them in a phone video. “One is closer and one’s further away, and then the second one turns the exact same corner, like following it, 30 or 40 seconds apart. Then I saw two more and they all turned the same corner. I think it was five or six total … You heard a hum and they were not even that high up. Maybe 200 or 300 ft.”

So, What’s the Verdict?

My take? Based on those testimonies?

  • The objects described above are not the store-bought, commercial drones that are so popular nowadays. They’re too big, and they fly in coordinated patterns with each other.

That leaves just two possibilities.

#1—The Biggest and Best Drones in the World

The biggest and best drones in world today, technically referred to as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), are used not just for military purposes (spying, killing, and destroying), but also for lots of peaceful purposes, including emergency response, infrastructure inspection, search and rescue, and product delivery.

The biggest of these premium drones can’t hover or move back and forth and up and down and sideways; they fly straight ahead like an airplane, as shown below.

Some of the biggest and best drones in the world today.

And the biggest drones today that hover and maneuver like helicopters? Well, they look like helicopters.

Two of the biggest hovering drones today.

So, if the world’s biggest and best drones today (the ones that are publicly known) don’t fit with credible eyewitness testimony, that narrows our focus to two possibilities. Either…

  • UAVs are being developed by someone on Earth, somewhere, who has technologies that are much further advanced than what’s publicly known… and they’re working in secret. Or else…
  • There are technologies that take us out of our comfort zone—technologies not of this world.

#2—Technologies Not of this World

UFOs and extraterrestrials have been dead and buried by mainstream science and US government since the 1960s, when Erich von Daniken was writing books about ancient astronauts. Books like that (and modern TV shows like Ancient Apocalypse) tend to knock a lot of us out of our comfort zone… especially if we’re mainstream scientists or US government officials who tow the party line.

Given the growing evidence (like the recent drone activity over New Jersey), maybe it’s time to resurrect the notion of extraterrestrial influences on our world—if not as a reality, then at least as a possibility.

We might go a step further to assume that—if they are indeed ETs—their presence would most likely be, by and large, friendly visits to our world. Making that assumption is the right thing to do, after all. As a rule, it’s customary throughout most of the world to offer a friendly greeting to visitors.

Finally, if we get a chance to communicate with those other-worldly visitors, we might mention to them that it’s also customary throughout most of our world to bring along a nice little gift when you come to visit. 🙂

Dr. Steven Greer has an explanation for the drones that I find quite interesting. According to Dr. Greer the UFO whistleblowers who have been testifying before Congress are secondhand witnesses. Dr. Greer has over 100 firsthand eyewitnesses ready to come forward to validate the existence of UFOs and the fact that we have been reverse engineering their technologies since before the 1947 Roswell incident. This is not something new. What is new though, is the fact that Dr. Greer is now working with not only these firsthand eyewitnesses, but very high-level active operatives in 6 of these Black Sites who are going to defect and spill the beans. Again, according to Dr. Greer these operatives are going to reveal themselves and provide evidence to support their claims. This is scheduled to take place in early January before the election. The drone activity is a diversion by the folks seeking to keep all of this secret. If keeping the existence of ETs secret is no longer possible, then they want to spin the narrative such that ET activities will be seen as a potential threat requiring more spending by the military industrial complex.

Mark, your assessment is similar to that of Dr. Greer in that you both feel that ETs could not possibly pose a threat to us. However, there is no money in that assessment. According to the famous rocket scientist, Dr. Wehner Von Brahan, a false alien invasion has been the plan since World War II.

      Hi Don,

This digs into the sensational or dramatic aspects of extraterrestrial research, where truth starts to get a little cloudy for me. Not to say it’s wrong—the military reverse-engineering of alien technologies (Greer) and a contrived threat of alien invasion to get military funding (von Braun), It’s just that I’d need to see proof to be sure. Meanwhile, the scenario does at least make sense to me.

Regina and I just finished watching the last 2 episodes of the 2 seasons of “The Empress” (a historical drama on Netflix) last night. In the final episode, King Ferdinand (of the Austrian Empire in 1859) fires his close advisor Buol because Buol has just gotten Austria into a war with Napoleon’s France… for which Austria is ill-equipped at the moment. (That much is true to history.) Then, as Buol is leaving, the King accuses him of wanting the war because he’s been making a lot of money with his investments in armaments. (I haven’t been able to find that in the history books this morning before my inner search engine got overworked, so I don’t know if that part is true to history—Buol’s connection to the military-industrial complex of the time.)

In any case, that certainly seems to be a troubling aspect of human nature: Some people (usually men) devise clever ways to get power and money, to hold onto it, and to use it in destructive ways.

So… I’m very much looking forward to the disclosures next month by Dr Greer’s “Black Site” collaborators. Evidence like that might help me (and probably a lot of other folks) to form a clearer picture of what’s really going on.

Meanwhile, I feel more peaceful and centered just knowing that the ETs, by and large, are friendly folks, and it’s our duty to greet them as friends if and when the opportunities present themselves… and it would be nice if they came bearing a small gift to humanity that reflects peace and kindness. 🙂

In other words, Drs Greer and von Braun are the real experts on these matters that go on behind the scenes. I just want to hold the ETs in the light that I’m sure they deserve.

(It’s not easy to do on Planet Earth these days—at least for me—but I’m trying to pick my dramas carefully.)

As always, Don, I appreciate your insightful comments and enjoy reading them!

      Mark

The accounts, so far, show that these UFOs have access to enormous amounts of energy in a small volume, and greater intelligence than we are accustomed to. I label them as UFOs, not to equate them to previous sightings, (although they may have the same cause), but because they are unidentified, that is, not identified with any object of which we know; they are flying, that is moving through the atmosphere though not by the use any laws of fluid dynamics of which we know; they are objects, since that is the word we attach to something to which we cannot attach any other label.

They have enormous energy as they can change direction so suddenly; they have enormous intelligence to be able to harness and control such energy and to control the object and to co-ordinate the movement of many objects.

I liken the unknown, unidentified, nature of this outbreak to that of the Hydesville, New York State, knockings in March 1848. That used energy in a way unknown to us, and had power, knowledge, and the intelligence to use it, beyond any known at the time, or now. The present show of energy and intelligence exceeds, by far, that demonstrated then.

The knockings were, within a month, identified to be caused by a murdered spirit, in the lower levels of heaven, who wanted revenge upon his murderer. There was much discussion of the phenomenon over the following fifty years until, in 1904, the information from the murdered spirit was verified by agreeing with information discovered from other sources.

This was an attempt by God, or his emissaries (which is, ultimately, the same thing) to show that knowledgable, intelligent consciousness continues after the death of the physical body.

The present phenomenon is to show that there is power and intelligence far beyond our current knowledge.

I opine that, as during the last thousands of years, we will fail to accept that we are puny compared to what we could be, and shall be, if only we stopped defying God. The sightings will gradually diminish, without any explanation, although Governments, or other agencies, may exploit them for their own purposes.

This is not a supernatural explanation. Nothing is supernatural; only beyond our current knowledge.

Great. Just what we need on this website… yet another clear voice of reason.

(Just kidding with the crocodile sarcasm. 🙂 The voice of reason is what the country and the world need now more than ever.)

Thanks for joining the dialog. I agree with all your points… a wonderful little gift to find this morning….

      Hi runcic,

      Just a quick follow-up….

(With a mind like yours, I’m sure you’re pretty busy at the moment, so if you don’t reply, that’s fine.)

1—  First, I love how you interweave spirit communication, extraterrestrial presence, and God (or the source or principle) together as unidentifiable (at least not easily identified and understood) but verifiable influences on us humans with our limited understanding.

2— Is there any particular reason you chose the Hydesville Park rapping case (which you explain was choreographed by finer spirit or “God’s emissaries”), of all the spirit communications across the centuries? Does that incident have any particular bearing on the subject (extraterrestrials) or to anyone involved in this recent (NJ) event? Or is it just the fact that the Hydesville Park case was well documented and evidential?… the way some of these “UFO” encounters are?… and the way a personal relationship with God can be?

3— You explain how “defying God” is the main obstacle in humanity’s grand, cosmic destiny, keeping us stuck in earthy dramas over things like wealth, power, hatred, and intolerance that keep us spiritually “puny.” Is that an accurate interpretation?

4— And finally, there’s talk lately (thanks to Don Marsh, John Day, Kate in England, and many others) of an approaching “End Time,” when the incredible mess we’ve made with our earthy dramas will (once again) be sorted out in a very dramatic fashion. Do you think an apocalypse might happen, and do you have any thoughts about the particulars… if and when the mega-events might happen?… what particular things might happen (not just the earth cataclysm itself but also the spiritual or cosmic events that could be happening at the same time… such as speculations about a ‘spinning-off’ of a parallel earth-world of finer vibration)?… that sort of thing. Any thoughts?

Thanks again for your amazingly insightful comment,

      Mark

Note to readers: That Dec 30 comment from “runcic” came as a surprise to me. I had to read it three or four times before getting the scope and depth of the information. The only part I had trouble with (initially) was the first paragraph that went to some length to define UFO. It seemed to distract from the amazing content of the comment, so I edited that paragraph by highlighting those four words, UFO, unidentified, flying, and object, hoping it would make it easier for readers to get through the first paragraph. Other than that, I had nothing whatsoever to do with that great comment appearing on the website. Frankly, I’m in awe of that comment.

      • Mark Macy's avatar Mark Macy says:

Clarification: I did nothing consciously to get that comment to appear as it is on this website, other than highlighting those four words after it appeared. If it’s an ITC contact, as I suspect, then our “invisible friends” were tapped into my unconscious mind while formulating the message, since that’s the way ITC works.

WordPress tells me the comment came from:
        psyllyc@aol.com

I can’t trace that email address or IP address to anyone or anyplace. Maybe someone else can? (I sent a short email to psyllyc@aol.com a few days ago but got no reply.)

Thoughtful and enjoyable read! Let’s hope that between your two major takes it’s benevolent aliens and not a segment humans trapped in medieval thinking. You rock, my friend.
