We have two extreme versions of ourselves living at the same time—a human self (body) and a cosmic self (soul). There are huge differences between the body and soul, and that’s where freedom comes into sharper focus.

As free physical beings we can experience life’s drama, with all of its pleasures and pains, its rewards and punishments, and its countless puzzles. As free cosmic beings we can find The Truth that flourishes behind the scenes, at the center of everything.

Freedom—an Inalienable Cosmic Right

According to brilliant beings in finer realms (as suggested in the opening quote at the top):

1. Freedom is an inalienable right for every living thing in the vast cosmos (”each of us”).
2. Freedom comes (“as a great gift”) from the source that shines brilliantly at the center of everything.
3. Freedom is a fundamental quality of the powerful life-energy emitted by the source (“God’s power”) to enrich and sustain everything that exists and evolves in every universe in every dimension throughout the cosmos.
4. Freedom can lead us to the truth that’s wrapped up in our spiritual composition (“Without free will there is no recognition of truth, which comes from within”).

If that’s the case—that freedom is an inalienable right from the source and a fundamental quality of life that can lead us to truth—then…

Why Does Freedom on Earth Cause so Many Problems?

Hint: Instead of looking inward (or in-beyond) for the perfect truth that rests at the center of our self, we’re more inclined to search for truth while looking outward into the dramas of our world.

First, it needs to be said that most of us humans enjoy tremendous bliss and inspiration at certain times of our lives, and these wonderful moments act as brilliant reminders of our cosmic lives that are flourishing like eternal sunshine deep in-beyond of our physical lives.

Meanwhile, we have to contend with the drama and stress of physical living:

• We don’t want wolves roaming freely on our sheep farms (or murderers roaming freely in our cities). Predators + freedom = drama = stress.
• We don’t want swarms of mosquitos coming freely for our blood, or hordes of locusts coming for our crops (or swindlers and thieves coming for our money). Parasites + freedom = drama = stress.
• We don’t want to see our lawn taken over freely by weeds (or our friendly, familiar shops on Main Street driven out of business by a big new chain store on the edge of town… or our favorite chain stores being run out of business by online retailers). Competitors + freedom = drama = stress.

The natural order of life in our world includes some drama and stress, and our bodies and brains are built to contend with some of the aggression, deception and conflict that bristle all around us. Occasionally we might even choose to participate in the drama, for whatever reason.

It’s hard to recognize timeless, cosmic truth under those distracting conditions while living as a physical being on Earth… or is it?

Fortunately, there are simple ways to awaken the cosmic version of ourself so that we begin to develop an inner knowing—a sense of The Truth—and then the dramas and stresses of life gradually start to fade away. In effect, we simply activate or acknowledge our cosmic self with its perfect peace, and let it slowly integrate with our physical self.

And that is the long-held cosmic secret of freedom: When we use freedom to explore in-beyond toward the source, we start to see The Truth.

To activate our cosmic self, all we have to do is take a moment to relax now and then, and slow down. It’s a moment to tune out life’s drama, usually through meditation or contemplative prayer. (There are some easy tips below.)

The ultimate goal is to make conscious contact with the source (wherein rests the perfect Truth). That’s not an easy thing to do—making conscious contact with the source—as any enlightened western mystic or eastern siddha will attest. Still, every time we practice meditation or contemplative prayer, we get one step closer to the Truth.

Contemplative Prayer or Meditation (copied from another article):

This is one technique I like a lot.

• While sitting or lying comfortably with eyes closed, move your awareness from the head to the heart area. Train your mind to follow each in-breath from the head to the chest, and use each out-breath to anchor your mind there in the heart area. The mind may go there bit by bit, breath by breath. Keep the mind moving from the head and anchoring in the chest, moving and anchoring, moving and anchoring…. (During this process I like to think a keyword like “source” on some of the out-breaths, to help me keep my mind anchored in the chest.)
• Once your awareness seems to be fully in the heart area and the brain shuts down, contemplate for a while on the source… the eternal mystery… the all-that-is.
• Finally, go into complete and utter silence for about a minute or less—in LISTENING mode—before the brain starts to reawaken and get active. It’s that moment of silent listening when you might get impressions of the finest kind, and seeds get planted for future insights.

This is in order that you may share in the great awakening, as the planet passes into the New Age of Aquarius. The New Age can be a time of great peace and evolution for your race, but only if your rulers are made aware of the evil forces that can overshadow their judgments. Be still now and listen, for your chance may not come again. All your weapons of evil must be removed. The time for conflict is now past and the race of which you are a part may proceed to the higher stages of its evolution if you show yourselves worthy to do this. You have but a short time to learn to live together in peace and goodwill. Small groups all over the planet are learning this, and exist to pass on the light of the dawning New Age to you all. You are free to accept or reject their teachings, but only those who learn to live in peace will pass to the higher realms of spiritual evolution. Hear now the voice of Vrillon, a representative of the Ashtar Galactic Command, speaking to you. Be aware also that there are many false prophets and guides at present operating on your world. They will suck your energy from you – the energy you call money – and will put it to evil ends and give you worthless dross in return. Your inner divine self will protect you from this. You must learn to be sensitive to the voice within that can tell you what is truth, and what is confusion, chaos and untruth. Learn to listen to the voice of truth which is within you and you will lead yourselves onto the path of evolution. This is our message to our dear friends. We have watched you growing for many years as you too have watched our lights in your skies. You know now that we are here, and that there are more beings on and around your Earth than your scientists admit. We are deeply concerned about you and your path towards the light and will do all we can to help you. Have no fear, seek only to know yourselves, and live in harmony with the ways of your planet Earth. We here at the Ashtar Galactic Command thank you for your attention. We are now leaving the planes of your existence. May you be blessed by the supreme love and truth of the cosmos.
