Divisive Politics Evolved from Our Most Ancient Past

Mini 05

This is a bare-bones (if mind-boggling) account of how I think human politics has been shaped and polarized by things that happened on Earth long, long ago. For supporting evidence, just follow some of the links in the article.

Dinosaur bones from Australia.
Are these neck bones really misplaced tail bones? Compare them with the first figurine below,

The paragraph below contains what I consider to be basic truths about our prehistory spanning some 4 billion years (or, more accurately, dating back to what science calls the LHB, or Late Heavy Bombardment). Truths are in bold type. Speculations are in regular type.

Long, long ago, giant, god-like human colonists came to Earth from Eden to bioengineer and ecosynthesize the small, young world with paradise qualities of their home planet, but they faced two massive hurdles: 1) They became marooned here when their large home planet Eden, located between Mars and Jupiter, was obliterated. 2) They lost mastery over nature after their dissension with “the serpent,” or dinosaurs, which they had to vanquish by any and all means. By then, the surviving humans were no longer so god-like. Atlantis emerged, with its capital of Basilaie located in northern Europe off the coast of modern-day Helgoland. The Atlanteans were governed by Titans, a race of large, demigod, wild-child descendants of the god-like, peaceful Edenites. Under the guidance of Titans, Atlantis became a scrappy, marauding culture until its demise in an End-Time flood several thousand years ago.

Top: Thousands of Acámbaro figurines (left) and Ica stones (right) were unearthed in Mexico and Peru last century, including these four that show dinosaurs fighting giant humans… our Edenite colonist ancestors?
Below: An Egyptian relief at Medinet Habu, found in the mortuary temple of Rameses III, shows swarms (boatload after boatload) of sea people in horned helmets—marauders from the north (presumably Atlanteans)—being defeated by Egyptian warriors, including their superhuman leader (someone like “Thoth,” presumably, a Titan from Atlantis who’d migrated to Egypt).

In other words, Earth in those earliest of times was being cultivated by the Edenites as a flourishing, peaceful paradise world that would resonate with the cosmos. Life was safe and vital because everything was groomed to be compatible (mutualistic and commensalistic). Then dinosaurs appeared and things flew out of control as Earth took on a brutal symbiosis. Living things started harming each other (predators), taking stuff from each other (parasites) and squabbling with each other for an advantage (competitors). Atlantis eventually emerged as the capstone culture of the new, scrappy reality.

Today… we humans all have the stewardship character of Eden and the scrappy character of Atlantis woven into our genetics and personalities. Are we influenced more by our Edenite or our Atlantean heritage (whether for the moment or whether culturally or genetically predisposed)? Here are a few examples:

Qualities of Eden that shape our politics: 1) Take care of the planet so the planet can take care of us. 2) Let the decency that shines brilliantly within us bring peace and vitality to our lives, our relationships, and our world. 3) Spread decency, knowledge, and understanding everywhere. 4) Negotiate until we resonate on the best way forward. 5) Help the less fortunate and ease their suffering… (even if it perpetuates problems).

Qualities of Atlantis that shape our politics: 1) It’s a hostile world. 2) Be strong and brave and smart and work hard—and fight—to protect your life, your family, and our nation. 3) Obey the rules designed by society and religion to keep the peace. 4) Preserve and protect those rules and other customs that keep society stable. 5) Strength and progress of society bubble up from individuals, so minimal government’s main role is to protect personal freedom… (despite its inherent problems).

Remember, we all have the qualities of Eden and Atlantis inside us. Shuffle those two sides of us together, and the result is inner conflict and political divisiveness. This Eden-Atlantis scenario makes the best sense to me by explaining why we humans are so conflicted and divisive… even if it’s a bit mind-boggling at the moment.

The next article will try to explain why—today—the political divisiveness that grips the world may intensify for a while. Future articles will explore ways to calm the inner conflict.

Note: I forgot to mention one important point in this article… a missing puzzle piece:

I’ve come to believe that life throughout the cosmos subsists mainly on the rich life-energy that creates and sustains everyone and everything—the life-energy that is already within us all and is believed to originate in a central source. But here on Earth….

At some point, probably after dinosaurs emerged on the planet, humans and other living things on Earth began to eat other living things to assimilate their life energies. It leads back to the legend of Dionysus-Zagreus and the “fall of man.”

That custom of living things killing and eating each other was apparently viewed distastefully by finer spirit throughout the cosmos, who saw it as “eating from the tree of life”—a grotesque cosmic anomaly—even though we’ve all come to take it for granted as a necessity of life here on Earth.

Always a good read, Sir—and I love the whole thing about resonating with the cosmos…so much to know, and I will always be lacking in true knowledge, but I am going with the flow. Take care, man!

      Great hearing from you, Jim.
I guess we’ve both ‘joined the club’ (along with 8 billion others)…
“Lacking in true knowledge” seems to be part of the package for a lifetime on Earth.
