A Tale of Two Edens

This is about a spiritual planet called Eden (or Marduk), where most people on Earth apparently awaken after they die, as the next leg of an ascending spiritual journey. It’s also about a physical planet called Eden (or Marduk), which (I believe) used to circle our sun until it was pulverized long, long ago. The tale is based on a couple of “glass milestones” (theories that are clear but fragile) that we’ll examine in an appendix after the article.

Eden / Marduk Overview

Planet Earth and these four people (at level 1) represent all of the planets and other living things in our material universe.

This pulled-apart picture shows the superimposed cosmos—the all-that-is—broken down into 7 arbitrary levels, all leading to a central source that religions call God, Allah, Brahman….

Each level contains many dimensions and parallel universes. The spiritual planet Eden or Marduk flourishes at level 3. That’s our afterlife paradise home, where people naturally feel a closer connection to the source.

Any person or planet (or any other living thing) in our universe has a physical body (level 1) and a bunch of nested spirit bodies (levels 2-7). Those spirit bodies get finer and more perfect as they approach the source, which is beyond level 7.

When any physical thing dies or is destroyed at level 1, its spirit bodies live on.

I BELIEVE that there used to be a physical planet Eden or Marduk at level 1, which probably orbited our sun between Mars and Jupiter. It was pulverized long, long ago… and its spirit body at level 3 still flourishes today. Again, that spirit planet Eden is the paradise “home” that most of us return to after a lifetime.

Here’s the story in a nutshell… (you can follow the links if you want more detail, and the appendix examines those “glass milestones” that make the story complete… if speculative.)

SPIRIT Planet Eden / Marduk

Late last century our spirit friends at level 3 established a stable communication bridge and told our INIT group:

We live on a Saturn-size astral planet called Eden or Marduk with three suns, so it is never completely dark. Our world orbits one sun and receives light from two other nearby stars. A single, large river winds completely around the planet like a snake biting its tail.

Obviously, our spirit planet has a different physics from your physical planet. The ground is water-resistant, so there’s no seepage. The tributaries come from unknown sources. The distant mountains are largely a mystery. We can see them from afar but can’t get close to them, as though they’re protected by some sort of invisible barrier. If we ascend in various flying conveyances, at a certain height the mountains become blurry, suggesting they’re along the border to finer dimensions that can be accessed only by those residents with a refined spiritual vibration, or by residents who are accompanied by finer beings. Our planet Eden with its Riverine communities was all created by human minds, yet is as much a solid-seeming reality to its spiritual residents as Earth is to you. Again, a different physics….

Our Eden world and your Earth world are similar, though yours is denser. We have a body like yours, but it is of an etheric substance much lighter and of much higher vibration than yours. Missing arms or legs grow again. No physical diseases exist here, but mental-emotional problems and conflicts persist and can be sorted out through inner work. Personality and character are not changed by the process of dying. You do not wake up at level 3 with new knowledge.

We have comfortably furnished homes and buildings, many made of a sort of synthesized wood. The surrounding landscapes are impressive and beautiful. Many animal species exist here which are unknown on Earth, such as paradise-like birds and colorful butterflies with wings the size of frisbees. Vegetation ranges from microscopic algae to giant trees. The temperature is very mild. Trees and shrubs gracefully adjust their spacing themselves and seem to produce enzymes that convert hindering vegetation into compost….

Many Earth activities no longer serve a purpose at level 3, but they continue by popular demand among former Earth-dwellers. Having sex, eating delicious foods, living in nice homes, traveling in vehicles, strolling in beautiful parks, swimming along soft, sandy beaches… these pleasures are enjoyed calmly by many residents without the dramas and consequences that often accompany them on Earth. Pregnancy and childbirth, food poisoning and obesity, property taxes, mechanical breakdown, stormy weather, mosquitoes and other parasites or predators… these and countless other earthy dramas are barely remembered by residents of Eden… like a bad dream.

So, that’s a glimpse of spirit world Eden.

PHYSICAL Planet Eden / Marduk

Our spirit mentors, “The Seven” finer beings, told us that humans came to Earth from Eden (Marduk) long, long ago, they got marooned here, and they “lost mastery over nature after their dissension with the serpent.”

I consider that scenario reliable and factual because the many contacts we received from The Seven always turned out to be factual. However, it leaves some important questions unanswered. Where was Eden? How did the Edenites get marooned on Earth? Who or what was “the serpent?”

These are the answers that make the most sense to me, but they’re hunches, not proven.
1) Primordial humans came to Earth from a physical planet Eden that circled our sun between Mars and Jupiter. Eden was probably a little bit bigger and denser than Earth.
2) The Edenite colonists got marooned on Earth after their home planet was pulverized. That might have happened about 1 billion years ago.
3) The Edenite colonists were probably brilliant, superhuman planetary stewards, but they lost mastery over nature while battling dinosaurs.

It might well have been a massive technology of the Edenites that tapped almighty cosmic energies and pulverized their fragile planet Eden.

In the appendix after the article we’ll consider scientific evidence that supports (or contradicts) this scenario, but first a couple of confessions. For the past quarter-century I have made two faulty assumptions. I assumed that…

  1. Eden was a huge, Saturn-size planet with an Earth-like density. Wrong. Scientifically unsound. (The secret to physical planet Eden’s actual size might be in the “Oort cloud.”)
  2. Eden was pulverized some 4 billion years ago. Probably wrong… probably closer to 1 billion. (The key to physical planet Eden’s real timeline might be hidden in the “LHB.”)

This is all explained in the appendix.

Meanwhile, if you want to know more about the hypothetical physical planet Eden, here are some additional links to articles with explanations and evidence. Bear in mind that Eden’s size and timeline in those early articles are subject to change in the coming months.

Finally, the appendix below contains most of the scientific facts related to the hypothetical existence of a now-extinct physical planet Eden, or Marduk.

Note: Important scientific information about planetary physics and astronomy used to be hard for casual researchers like me to find. Then, artificial intelligence came along.
Google’s AI Mode for web-surfing gathered up all of this information in seconds—well, it actually took more than a dozen searches, so seconds here, seconds there, seconds-seconds everywhere.
(Before AI, it would have taken hours here, days there, hours-days everywhere… probably while scouring scientific websites with a discerning eye or by attending astronomy classes that I didn’t have time for.)

Appendix

(from youtube)

Our spirit friends mentioned in passing that their spirit planet Eden is about the size of Saturn, so for the past quarter-century I’ve assumed (falsely) that a physical planet Eden was a Saturn-sized planet with Earth-like density circling our sun in an orbit between Mars and Jupiter—where the asteroid belt is today. But that would have been impossible, as I’ve learned just recently. By the physics of our solar system, a dense, rocky (earth-like) planet the size of Saturn would have an immense gravity that could cause either a gravitational collapse of the planet (the astronomical equivalent of stepping on an empty soda can – squish), or a sudden change of Eden into an uninhabitable gas giant (the astronomical equivalent of smashing an unopened can of soda – sploosh).

So, I now believe (based on the composition of the asteroid belt, Kuiper belt, and Oort cloud, that Eden was probably just a bit bigger than Earth. And I believe it must have been pulverized—the astronomical equivalent of packing an empty soda can with C4 explosive and detonating it.

Size (and Density) of Physical World Eden

A planet’s size is usually defined by its radius, or distance from the center of the core to the outer crust of a rocky planet (or to the “1-bar level” near the outer fringe of a fluffy gas giant like Jupiter or Saturn).

(from top left) Fluffy gas giants Jupiter and Saturn, ice giants Uranus and Neptune, then the 4 dense, rocky planets Earth, Mars, tiny Mercury, and Venus. (I added the hypothetical Eden to this picture from theplanets.org and NASA.)

So, physical planet Eden was probably somewhat bigger and somewhat denser than Earth, as shown in the picture above and the table below.

Planet, Density (g/cc – grams per cubic centimeter), and size (radius in km – kilometers)

PlanetDensitySize
Eden??~ 6 g/cc?? ~ 7,000 km??
Earth5.51 g/cc6,371 km
Mercury5.43 g/cc2,440 km
Venus5.24 g/cc6,052 km
Mars3.93 g/cc3,390 km
Neptune1.64 g/cc24,622 km
Jupiter1.33 g/cc69,911 km
Uranus1.27 g/cc25,362 km
Saturn0.69 g/cc58,232 km

Pulverized. So, at some point, Eden was blasted to bits, and those “bits” ranged from molecular-size-and-smaller to mountain-size-and-bigger.

  • The weighty metals (like the iron-nickel core) got ripped apart and shoved outward, forming the asteroid belt.
  • Midweight stuff (dirt and organic material in the planet’s crust) was shoved farther out to become the Kuiper belt.
  • Water, sediment from the oceanic crust, and other lightweight stuff was flung far, far out, instantly freezing into small chunks of dirty ice, forming the Oort Cloud.
Shrapnel of the pulverized Eden. I added the red lines and red text to this picture from the European Space Agency.

So, to determine the size of Eden….

When Eden blew up, most of the shrapnel formed 1) the Asteroid Belt, 2) the Kuiper Belt, and 3) the Oort Cloud. Here’s a general idea of how their mass compares to the mass of Planet Earth.

  1. Asteroid Belt: 0.0006 (about six ten-thousandths of Earth’s mass)
  2. Kuiper Belt: Between 0.02 and 0.10 (perhaps one-tenth of Earth’s mass)
  3. Oort Cloud: No one knows for sure, but best guess is somewhere between 1 (same as Earth’s mass) and 10 (10 times Earth’s mass).

For now, it’s safe to say that all the combined 1) asteroids and 2) Kuiper belt objects (KBOs) could fit into a planet about one-tenth the size of Earth. Then, when you add all the matter in the 3) Oort cloud, you’d probably form a planet somewhat larger than Earth. And that would be the approximate size of the late, great Planet Eden.

Timeline of Physical World Eden

How Old is Everything?

Scientists theorize that the oldest materials in the core of every planet in our solar system is probably about 4.5 billion years old. That, they say, is when our solar system was formed.

By far most of the stuff on and in Planet Earth is much younger than 4.5 billion years.

  • Most surface rocks in Earth’s crust are 3.5 billion years old or younger.
  • The ocean floor and ridges in the oceanic crust undergo constant change and are rarely older than 200 million (not billion) years.
  • And, of course, the water and air in the oceans and atmosphere are in continuous change.

When Was the LHB (Late Heavy Bombarement)?

This is the most fragile milestone in this tale of two Edens. The Late Heavy Bombardment was a horrendous period when our solar system was pummeled by space debris. What caused it?

  • Current science suggests the LHB happened when the big planets suddenly shifted, disrupted the asteroid belt, and sent asteroids flying everywhere.
  • I believe that there was no asteroid belt until the LHB created it. Planet Eden was pulverized, probably as a result of super technology gone wild, resulting in the LHB and creating the asteroid belt, as well as the Kuiper belt and Oort cloud.

Scientific evidence suggests that the LHB happened about 4 billion years ago, based on the age of moonrocks, most of which are debris from the LHB that pummeled the moon. Their age is determined by radiometric dating techniques involving radioactive isotopes that decay slowly but predictably over many millions, even billions of years.

  • K-Ar – unstable, radioactive potassium decays slowly into stable argon over millions of years, or
  • U-Pb – unstable, radioactive uranium decays slowly into stable lead over billions of years.

If we take the scientific assumption that the asteroid belt was some natural aberration of our ancient solar system that was disrupted by jostling planets, then perhaps it makes sense that the LHB happened some 4 billion years ago. Much of the debris pummeling the moon is dated to be 4 billion years old.

But if the LHB (as well as the asteroid belt) was caused by a pulverized planet, then those radiometric dates might lead us to a different conclusion. I believe that if science someday takes a serious look at the possibility that the LHB was caused by a pulverized Eden between Mars and Jupiter, the evidence might start to support a much more recent timeframe. Moon rocks dated at 4 billion years would simply have been caused by impacts by Eden’s heavy core materials. Moon rocks dated more recently would have been caused by lighter pieces of Eden smashing into the moon.

Anyway, that’s what makes the most sense to me for the time being. At age 76, I probably have a few more years to keep my eyes and ears open for scientific evidence that supports or contradicts this scenario.
