This final article ties things together—how ITC relates with other methods of spirit communication, and how it fits with today’s world.

Five Familiar Ways of Spirit Communication

How do we get information from spirit?

(Or more specifically, “from entities beyond the Earth”… which would include extraterrestrials. ETs are physical beings like us, living around level 1, maybe moving among parallel physical universes, but the focus here is spirit.)

There are at least five ways… well, five conscious, intentional ways.

(There are also subconscious ways, such as inspiration and conscience. And there are unintended ways, such as haunted buildings and troubled voices in the heads of schizophrenics. Those forms of spirit communication aren’t the focus of this discussion.)

The first two ways (A and B) involve our spirit friends delivering words and pictures mysteriously into our technologies—talking through a radio or showing themselves on TV, for example. Those “ITC contacts” can be challenging for our spirit friends, whose bodies are not as solid and physical as ours and whose surroundings are shaped mentally, so they have to convert their thoughts and their reality, somehow, into languages and pictures of physical things that are meaningful to us on Earth.

The other three (C, D, and E) are silent, mind-to-mind communication techniques that are more natural for our spirit friends, but may seem a little mysterious and suspicious to most of us who are wrapped up in carnal living, or who don’t have a psychic gift, or who might even dismiss the whole notion of spirits and afterlife.

Here’s a brief description of those five techniques:

• A — Mainstream ITC involves any intelligent beings beyond the Earth who are willing and able to show themselves and share their thoughts through our technologies (such as audio and video recording devices) with pictures and words that we humans can understand and relate to. Usually these are spirit faces (that we can see) and short, spoken messages (that we can hear), as they come through our receiving technologies and are captured on recording devices.
• B — “Pure” ITC allows detailed, meaningful information to stream into TVs, radios, computers, phones, and other technologies of our world (level 1), sent to us by refined spirits in our afterlife paradise (level 3). That information comes through a protected communication bridge, or contact field (a resonant collective consciousness of everyone involved in the contacts, at both ends of the bridge). Pure ITC is a committed effort by refined spirit to convey the complex realities of their existence to us in customized ways that most people on Earth can understand and relate to—long voice messages, meaningful text composed in the language of the receivers, earth-like pictures, and so on. Most of this series has been about pure ITC contacts received for a few years at the end of last century, mostly by members of our INIT group… Maggy Fischbach of Luxembourg, in particular.

• C — Mediumship comes in many forms, but in general terms it means using our psychically attuned mind and body to receive (consciously or in trance) information from beyond the Earth. And the information can come from just about anywhere, depending on the medium—ranging from extraterrestrials and spirits of the dead in realms close to level 1, to highly refined beings in levels 5 through 7 who channel enlightened knowledge like A Course in Miracles, the Urantia Book, and the age-old holy texts of the world’s time-proven religions.
• D — Meditation in its various forms, practiced regularly, can gradually establish a rapport with brilliant beings in ethereal realms (levels 5 and above). It’s the way trained masters in the Far East historically performed “miracles” by channeling refined life-energy or powerful consciousness into our world. Even beginners soon feel the benefits of meditation, as their refined spiritual energies begin to play a bigger role in their lives, alleviating the stresses and strains of carnal living. With time, practiced meditation gets us through the shadowy spiritual debris around the planet to be in touch with highly refined ethereal forces. Generally speaking, though, meditation simply refines our spiritual vibration, and the more we meditate the “finer” we become.
• E — Centering prayer or contemplative prayer helps us make conscious contact with the source, or “inner light.” It’s the way people like Gautama Buddha and Jesus Christ found enlightenment and oneness with all-that-is. Improving that conscious connection typically takes a lot of devoted practice and inner work… though Jesus, by all accounts, came to Earth as a highly refined soul with a built-in awareness of (conscious connection to) the source, which he called “my Father.” Jesus also apparently came with a soul mission to establish a refined afterlife paradise for people on Earth, which came to be known as “the Kingdom of God.” For a Buddhist, contemplative prayer would more aptly be called contemplative, one-point meditation. (There’s a good contemplative prayer/meditation technique after the article to wrap everything up.*)

How It All Works

Everyone (and everything) on Earth inherently shares consciousness with all 7 levels of the cosmos, plus the source itself.

As we live a lifetime here at level 1, our fine spirit bodies within us (or in-beyond of us) are living at levels 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, and they’re in touch with many other bright beings at those levels. As our spirit bodies receive information from their many refined worlds, some of it trickles down (or out-beyond) through our spirit bodies, all the way to level 1. As that cosmic information reaches us, our mind filters, processes, and assimilates it continually, whether we’re aware of it or not.

Being psychically gifted (C in the earlier diagram) means we’re consciously aware of some of that cosmic information as it gets filtered and assimilated by our mind.

For most of us on Earth, our psychic sensitivities are dormant. We’re totally engaged in the things we see, hear, taste, touch, and smell, so most of that information coming silently through our “sixth sense” gets ignored by our conscious mind. We only get vague impressions of it subconsciously, especially while dreaming, daydreaming, meditating, or problem-solving. We think of those vague impressions as dreams, inspiration, intuition, instinct, insight, prescience, foreboding….

If we practice meditation or contemplative prayer (D and E) with some regularity, we start to become aware of that cosmic information. Our conscious mind starts to get unblocked, and our innate psychic skills start to open up.

Then there’s ITC (A and B)….

How ITC Fits in the Picture

You’d think that since ITC contacts come through our technologies, the mind-to-mind connection between people and spirits wouldn’t be important in ITC… but apparently it is.

Especially in pure ITC (B), the communication bridge or contact field between level 1 (Earth) and level 3 (our afterlife paradise) is formed by the collective minds of everyone involved in the contact, at both ends of the bridge. All of our thoughts and attitudes have to be resonant (in harmony with each other) in order for the bridge to be stable. Spirits can deliver life-changing, world-changing information into our TVs, radios, phones, and computers on a regular basis “when the vibrations of those present are in complete harmony and when their aims and intentions are pure” (as the spirits told us through a radio (B) in 1994).

That’s why pure ITC is so rare in our world. Our roller-coaster thoughts and emotions make that mental harmony and purity very difficult to sustain. 

In mainstream ITC (A), the depth and quality of contacts we receive seem to depend largely on our psychic attunement and our general disposition:

• The more aware we are of our mind-to-mind rapport with our spirit helpers, the easier it is for them to inspire us in our research, so that together we can devise communication techniques that work with our technologies.
• The more our own thoughts and feelings resonate with people who are friendly, empathetic, mature, and stable, the more we attract spirits of refined disposition into our work.

Finally, here are a few questions and answers about ITC, its significance today, and its future possibilities.

Most of these questions were addressed throughout this series, so this is mainly a recap.

Why ITC?

This question has lots of answers, but in a nutshell: If our psychic sensitivity or spiritual awareness is dormant, as it is for many of us today, then ITC contacts can be particularly meaningful.

How ITC Benefits Us

Mainly, when we can get spirits to communicate with us through our modern technologies, the contacts give us a better understanding of the spiritual forces that affect our world and our lives, in ways that we can see and hear. Contacts from positive spirits can be reassuring and inspiring. Imagine getting contacted by our favorite aunt… a few weeks after her funeral! Maybe a happy message spoken through the radio or a smiling picture of her flashing across the TV.

How ITC Benefits the Spirits

Simply put, spirits can use ITC to get our attention.

Many of us are unaware of the rich spiritual life that flourishes throughout the vast, living cosmos, so we harbor uncertainties and fears about life’s purpose and worry about what will happen to us at the end of a lifetime. Through ITC, spirit can reassure us that we’re not alone—that, ultimately, our personal destiny is bright and beautiful and in good hands, even if there are a few obstacles and shadows to overcome along the way.

Do the spirits really care about our personal destiny, whether or not we’re even aware of them?

Apparently they care a lot. As we were told by The Seven finer beings late last century (from Contact! issue 9603, p5.):

Fear of death is one of the most distressing concepts of human culture. It is based on the conscious belief that your bodily existence offers life and security, which it never wants to lose. Fear of death therefore is evidence of the mind having lost its roots. It shows a spiritual being who has far removed itself from its higher self….

Why Did “Pure” ITC Happen in the 1990s?

I’ve come to believe that finer spirit (The Seven, in particular) opened and sustained INIT’s pure ITC bridge with two primary aims:

• To rekindle human spirituality on Earth with an infusion of insights about ourselves, our world, and the cosmos in ways that we would find meaningful—inspiring messages and images delivered through our technologies, and
• To announce the end of an Epoch.

Rekindling Human Spirituality

Long-hidden truths about the cosmos and the afterlife streamed into our technologies between 1995 and 1999, most of them shared in the first eight articles in this series (especially the computer contacts in the “ITC 04” article).

A prime example was this 1996 message, left on a telephone answering machine in Luxembourg (spoken in English):

In the course of bygone decades, of thousands of earthly years, beings interested in human species meet to decide on the continuation of The Project. You must not imagine that only The Seven implicated in the actual development of INIT are there; no, it is a coming together of all entities interested in mankind. The interests are various. We, The Seven of the Rainbow People, have decided to help and support the way chosen by you in INIT. It is the way of morals, which means to understand, to acknowledge, to devise, and to act. It is not to be mixed up with religion, which means to believe. The two can be complementary, but they are independent, one to the other….

One of the main insights they shared with us, over and over, was the need for resonance or harmony when it comes to ITC and other spiritual matters… indeed, when it simply comes to living blissfully in the cosmos.

The Seven facilitated the contact field and moderated our collaboration, offering suggestions about how to sustain harmony within our group, especially when conflicts of interest began to develop around 1997-98. Some examples of their advice:

Children of Earth, people of Terra, your complaints and your irritation have reached us as you struggle to sustain ITC and spread knowledge of the afterlife. People on Earth have believed in life after death from the beginning, though religious and spiritual beliefs have veered in many directions, and many people don’t believe at all. Additionally, there are many believers and nonbelievers alike who doubt other-worldly knowledge imperceptible to your sciences. The INIT mission isn’t easy….

Children of Earth, people of Terra: You know the world is not changed by cosmic events but by changes in the individual. Every person is unique and can build a palace for good or a dungeon for evil. This recognition should make clear to all of you your share of responsibility in all happenings, including the troubles now facing INIT….

In your material world, jealousy is like a bacillus that aims to destroy an existing body. You cannot see it with the naked eye but its action is devastating when it combines with ignorance.…

Announcing the End of an Epoch

The Seven finer beings mentioned that Earth today is approaching another End Time scenario, or apocalypse. They apparently happen now and then, over the course of hundreds of thousands of years, as a sort of general housecleaning of the planet.

This general scenario of our distant past has been coming together in my head over the past quarter century, while digesting the messages from The Seven (see a detailed timeline here…):

Humans have been living on Earth for an inordinately long time, and things were generally peaceful until the age of dinosaurs, when predatory, parasitic, and competitive conditions became a part of ecosystems and social systems. Since then, life on Earth has been a struggle for just about everyone and everything. Since then, ecosystems and social systems have evolved precariously—preying on each other, taking stuff from each other, and competing with each other in this finite world of limited resources. As this troubled situation evolves, conditions eventually get so bad that finer beings who observe and support the Earth across the millennia simply facilitate the inevitable reboot, or system reset. They generally make a last-ditch effort to inspire, uplift, and educate humanity before the old Epoch ends and the new one begins. Earth is cleansed, and the cycle begins again.

Atlantis was the predominant culture during the First Epoch of “The Project,” an effort to try to restore peace and order here in our rowdy little world. The Project was apparently initiated by those finer beings, those observers, whoever they all are (besides The Seven, of course, who said they were assigned long ago to be the local stewards of our world).

Things went badly in Atlantis, as their marauding of other cultures caused mayhem and hard feelings that reflected back on them. There was a last-ditch effort to establish a “space-time portal,” through which to enlighten humanity, but by then it was too late, as explained below.

According to The Seven, the last End Time (which was apparently the fall of Atlantis), happened like this. The following excerpt is from an address by the head priest at the Sothis Temple. Long ago he was addressing the other priests of the temple, which was located along the banks of the Euphrates River, where Babylon would emerge centuries later to mark the start of the next and current epoch):

“… Our civilization has become so indifferent that the innumerable dead, who perish of starvation and disease, have become a common sight for you. They elicit no more than a sigh, or in the best case, a tinge of protest. The streets of our cities have become the residence of legions of the homeless; drugs rule the world; men murder their brothers on a scale and with a bestiality that has not been seen since the (previous) dark ages….We believed that… the Gateway, the Space-Time Arch, was the last hope for our sick world. But we have erred….” (read the complete contact here… )

I was intrigued by that message (and the two below), but for years I was leery… since there have been so many doomsday prophecies! In any event, our spirit friends made it pretty clear, via computer, that we’re approaching the next apocalypse:

End times of both the personal and planetary kinds. Any religion is good when it shows the path of decency through honesty toward the one cosmic truth. If your theologians would all recognize that, the world would be a better place. In the final analysis, what matters is the victory of reason and understanding over materialism and irrationality at the End Time. Knowing of a higher power and advanced beings who serve this higher power can assist you on your path, although some people regrettably must perish without that knowledge. They fear or resist it. The day will come when they realize that they are safe with us (finer beings beyond level 3). —Ishkumar, one of The Seven (9603 p10)

The apocalyptic role of “pure” ITC. We have often given you the real purpose of ITC contacts: Mankind at the End Time should be led back to the principle. Light and darkness shall unite and form a whole again. What people experience now (late 20^th Century) is not the actual beginning of the apocalypse, but only the first symptoms of it. Before opposites can be united, the strength of unity among ITC people must increase and come from a pure heart. (9702 p16)

Why Did Pure ITC End Around the Year 2000?

I have a feeling that they (Timestream spirit group and The Seven finer beings) worked very hard to get enough ITC information to us (INIT members) to prepare us (humanity) for the coming apocalypse. By the year 2000 it simply became too difficult to deliver further information to us through our technologies.

That scenario may seem a bit drastic, but a quarter-century hence it’s what makes the most sense to me. So the next question is…

Why Did ITC Become So Difficult?

Apparently (or theoretically?) harmony within our INIT group simply became untenable.

In the previous article, Sonia Rinaldi got a message to that effect from our mutual spirit friend, the late Konstantin Raudive (1909-1974):

“The vibration of the fabric of the physical world prevents (pure ITC) from happening” (since around the year 2000, once the contact field of our INIT group became untenable).

Our spirit friends seem to view the collective consciousness of humanity as a sort of “vibrational fabric” of our world that makes ITC difficult.

It’s apparently a bristly fabric because of all the win-lose relationships that stir up hard feelings among living things in our world, including us humans. Those win-lose relationships are caused by the controlling, competitive, parasitic, and predatory urges that seem to be built into the nature of life on Earth. Evidence would suggest that most of the cosmos doesn’t have those win-lose compulsions. Borrowing scientific terms, most of the cosmos seems to operate in a “mutualistic” and “commensalistic” fashion—flourishing with win-win, live-and-let-live relationships everywhere.
Mutualism: association between individuals of different species in which each obtains benefits. (bees and flowers, coral and algae…)
Commensalism: a relationship between individuals of two species in which one species obtains benefits from the other species without either harming or benefitting the other species. (egrets and cattle, tree frogs and plants…)

Is Another Pure ITC Bridge Possible?

For the past 20 years I haven’t kept up with all of the committed ITC research going on around the world, but I’ve been in active “listening mode”… hoping and praying that someone, somewhere, would start reporting the kinds of on-going contacts that INIT received—long texts and detailed bit-map pictures from the spirit worlds delivered to computers, friendly phone calls from the other side, highly informative dialogs through radio, and TV videos showing people and landscapes in the spirit world.

I’ve often written that this could (and should) happen as soon as a group or network of researchers were able to sustain harmony in the ranks, and more or less be of one mind. I think that became my mantra.

But apparently I was wrong. There have been various ITC groups popping up around the world, like Keith Clark’s group and the Big Circle of moms here in the States, consisting of good-hearted people with the common aim to open up positive dialog with the other side through technology. But the breakthrough hasn’t happened. So the next question is…

What Will It Take to Open a Pure ITC Bridge?

I can think of only one scenario that might work. If our spirit friends are right about the coming end time, then this might be a last-ditch effort on our part to get their attention… to give us another chance to get things in order here on Planet Earth. The notion is so radical, and so many people would squabble over the details, that there’s very little chance of it happening… but here goes….

Our spirit friends actually mentioned the following scenario in passing, though for the life of me I haven’t been able to find that ITC contact while writing this article.

Basically, in order to achieve a degree of planetary harmony, the three big powers of the world—China, USA, and Russia—could work together to forge a framework for the future… then all the other powers would naturally fall in line. Instead of a world government, it would be shared values of the Big Three, and everyone else would presumably go along to get along.

I believe that could work if certain noble aims are built into the framework, and if the three big powers could set aside their differences for the sake of compromise, collaboration, and world peace. Of course, that’s a staggering IF.

These are some of the main factors that, I believe, would have to be taken into account:

• Find a stable balance between freedom and fairness in a new political system.
• Keep needs in line with resources in a new economic system that prevents overpopulation and excessive consumption.
• Use clean energy while phasing out fossil fuels.
• Meet everyone’s basic needs after defining what those “basic” needs are, and support the program with a wealth tax, among other things.
• Urge tolerance and compatibility to promote resonance and harmony among us humans to the greatest extent possible.

I went into a bit of detail about each of those points in another article, for those interested.

I believe that those steps would get a lot of attention from the finer realms.

Then, a team of good-hearted souls from various countries and cultures, some of them psychically sensitive, would form an ITC experimental group or network. The members would probably have to be “hand-picked” by finer beings like The Seven, who can see through our secrets to observe the real person.

It would simply be a team of good-hearted people doing what’s right and good in the cosmic sense, in order to sustain a resonant communication bridge or contact field with finer spirit. Then, eternal truths and great mysteries of the cosmos would stream into our world through our technologies, giving humanity—the “Big Three” countries in particular—an opportunity to get things right, for the good of the planet.

The group would be autonomous, receiving guidance only from finer spirit. No direct influence by the competitive, parasitic, and predatory interests that are prevalent in our world (military, business, government… even orthodox religion).

The group would deliver reports to their governments and make positive results public, then it would be up to governments, societies, and the people to reconcile the information and to take appropriate action at all levels… from the personal to the planetary.

Anyway, that’s the scenario that came to mind over the years, as more and more puzzle pieces kept falling into place. It’s basically just a broad-stroke picture of what might be humanity’s last chance in this Epoch, but it’s the best I can do, with all of the dramas and limitations in my life.

Contemplative Prayer or Meditation

This is one technique I like a lot.

• While sitting or lying comfortably with eyes closed, move your awareness from the head to the heart area. Train your mind to follow each in-breath from the head to the chest, and use each out-breath to anchor your mind there in the heart area. The mind may go there bit by bit, breath by breath. Keep the mind moving from the head and anchoring in the chest, moving and anchoring, moving and anchoring….
• Once your awareness seems to be fully in the heart area and the brain shuts down, contemplate for a while on the source… the eternal mystery… the all-that-is. (At this point I like to think a keyword like “source” on some of the in-breaths, to help me keep my mind anchored in the chest.)
• Finally, go into complete and utter silence for about a minute or less—in LISTENING mode—before the brain starts to reawaken and get active. It’s that moment of silent listening when you might get impressions of the finest kind, and seeds get planted for future insights.
