Philosophy 11: Life-Energy By Any Other Name

Life-energy is the essence of the source that spreads, devolves, and adapts interminably to forge the big picture of reality, instilling vitality, purpose, and knowledge into countless universes (fine, white circles), countless worlds (like Earth), and countless entities—from human beings, at level 1, to brilliant spirit beings residing at finer levels close to the source… such as The Seven (inset lower left), who’ve accompanied humanity down through the ages to support and protect our world.

The previous article was about the source. This article takes a closer look at the life-energy that’s emitted by the source to create and nourish everything throughout the vast omniverse.

Though often called “the Great Central Sun,” the source isn’t really like our sun, because life-energy isn’t like sunlight.

We think of our sun as a burning ball of gas emitting heat and light in waves that flow freely through empty space and bounce off the planets, moons, and asteroids in our solar system.

Life-energy from the source doesn’t flow freely through the omniverse like that. Quite the contrary, it moves out-beyond from the source, through many universes in many dimensions, devolving and transforming to create countless entities, worlds, and universes. It doesn’t just stream, it creates everything and nourishes it constantly.

So life-energy from the source gets passed out-beyond, from one universe to the next, as a creative, nourishing force of power and information that transmutes constantly into denser and denser realms.

The source is at the center of everyone and everything.

This is a pulled-apart view of the subtle (spiritual) forms that are within us. As the diagram suggests, we humans (and everything else in our physical universe) originate from the source and devolve through many forms at many levels while becoming the carnal you and me whom we know today, in this lifetime.

This article, like the previous one, is based on messages received by our INIT group in the 1990s via phones, radios, computers, and other devices. The messages were delivered by our invisible friends at Timestream spirit group at level 3, especially The Seven ethereal beings who established and protected the communication bridge.

Life-Energy By Many Names

Sensitive humans have always revered life-energy, feeling its vital effects and giving it lots of names:

  • holy spirit (Christians),
  • nūr, rūḥ (Muslims),
  • prana, shakti, kundalini (Hindus),
  • chi or qi (Chinese)… [Incidentally, the Chinese call their country 中國 (Zhōng-Guó) …which probably had an original meaning of, “The country (國) of life-energy from the center within (中).” Last century Chinese society turned away from the source and its life-energy during their communist revolution. Once they turn back (which is only a matter of time) perhaps we’ll all start thinking of a spiritually reborn “China” as the “Chi-Nation,” which I suspect was the original intent long, long ago.]
  • creative life force (Buddhists),
  • consciousness (scientists and philosophers).

Sensitive Souls and ITC

Being sensitive—attuned to life-energy—is especially important in ITC, or instrumental transcommunication, the use of TVs, radios, computers, phones, and other devices to get information directly from the worlds of spirit. These other-worldly, high-tech communications rely on a fragile bridge between Earth and level 3 (see the first diagram).

The process relies on resonant life-energy (thoughts, attitudes, motivations…) on both sides of the veil, or as spirit friend Konstantin Raudive told us through a radio when I visited the Harsch-Fischbach couple in Luxembourg in 1994:

It can only work when the vibrations of those present are in complete harmony and when their aims and intentions are pure.

Sensitive researchers like Maggy Fischbach and her husband Jules Harsch can sometimes get good ITC results as their energies become attuned both to their equipment and to the presence and dispositions of their spirit friends. They can feel when things are in sync. Researchers like Maggy are motivated by love, which creates a stream of resonant life-energy that gives coherence to the bridge. Maggy’s spirit friends often referred to a “source energy” that powers ITC contacts. We humans feel that energy as an all-pervading love, and we can learn to influence that energy and affect the world around us. That’s the crux of ITC.

Finely attuned researchers are aware of the need for complete sincerity in their motivations, as any trace of insincerity can weaken the bridge. They have to be discerning about colleagues and visitors participating in the experiments, as their life-energies also impact the purity of the bridge. When researchers get stressed, they become depleted of life-energy, and the communications falter.

In 1992 Maggy wrote in her journal CETL INFOnews:

“The energy and information of the source and center connects everything in the universe…. Our spirit partners gave us a key for this understanding: If the energy from the source of all being (love, or source energy) is slowed down, this energy beyond space and time jumps around the much lower vibrations of space and time to become a carrier of scalar waves, electromagnetic frequencies and sound waves.”

The main intent for an ITC bridge is to ensure that those dense waves don’t get polluted by the dark thoughts and feelings like envy and fear that spin out of Earth’s troubled symbiotic relationships (competition and predation), but are instead based on mutualistic, win-win relationships among researchers.

Our INIT group received a lot of information from our spirit friends about life-energy. Most of it was sent to us by The Seven refined beings. Some also came from our friends at Timestream Spirit Group (deceased humans now living at level 3), especially Swejen Salter and Konstantin Raudive.

In a nutshell, here are a few specific things they tell us about life-energy (the associated ITC contacts are listed at the end as reference material):

1. All of our thoughts during a lifetime become energy patterns that are stored in finer realms forever, as a sort of historical record of our existence.

2. Meditation and refined thinking can get us vibrationally closer to the source, forming a beam of life-energy through which we can receive knowledge and strength. A sick person entering the beam can sometimes be healed miraculously if they are receptive to that frequency of life-energy.

3. When our loved ones and ancestors at level 3 have the opportunity to exchange information with a finer being (one of The Seven, for example), all other higher beings in the group are aware of the conversation. Since communication requires resonant life-energy, it can only happen when everyone is sincere, which is hard to achieve on Earth, making ITC difficult.

4. Everything is formed by life-energy that spreads out-beyond from the source, throughout the omniverse, as a field of vibrations. By adjusting their life-energy to resonate at a common frequency, finer beings can come together in friendship to merge their life-energies into a single light, while also retaining their individuality and their ability to leave the group to perform particular tasks or missions.

5. When the mission is ITC communications with Earth, a lot of life-energy is needed to sustain the bridge, and the finer beings become living power supplies to provide the energy and knowledge. Although spirits communicate silently mind to mind, they can fabricate voices, text, and images that are meaningful to us humans on Earth, and convey that information to us through our equipment. Voice contacts through our radios and phones exhaust much more life-energy than simply planting messages and images in our computers.

This is an example of a phone contact running out of energy. It’s the very end of a spirit phone dialog
between myself and spirit friend Konstantin Raudive in 1996 that lasted nearly 15 minutes.

6. Positive public interest in ITC creates resonant fields of life-energy (what scientist Rupert Sheldrake refers to as “morphogenetic fields”) that allow communication bridges to be established from level 3 to Earth (between our spirit friends and ourselves). Without those stable, resonant energy fields, there’s no amount of life-energy from finer beings that can sustain an ITC bridge. In other words, researchers must be in mental and emotional harmony with each other and with their spirit teams.

7. Some of our spirit friends make a distinction between life-energies that are electromagnetic (the informational energy of matter in our material universe) and those that are 5-dimensional (the energy of life that is everywhere). When we die, some of our 5-dimensional energy can remain stored in various objects or buildings. Violent death can cause 5-dimensional shock waves around the Earth that we can sometimes detect emotionally, but not through our five senses. If we could develop a 5-dimensional wave receiver on Earth, it would be like tuning into various spirit worlds through a radio, but the widespread slaughter of animals and humans on Earth creates 5-dimensional shockwaves that disrupt an ITC bridge.

.

I hope that information gives a pretty good understanding of life-energy and its influence on our lives. Following are the actual ITC contacts that support the information.

Reference Material

All of the contacts below were received by Maggy Fischbach of Luxembourg, except the first one.

The first contact was received by German researchers Frieidrich Malkhoff and Adolf Homes, who were working closely with Maggy in nearby Luxembourg at the time. As Maggy explained in her journal in 1990:

“When the (new device) MEZA 1 is up and operational, combining the energy fields of the research teams in Luxembourg with those in the two German towns of Rivenich (Adolf Homes) and Schweich (Fritz Malkhoff), the system will no longer need the concentrated, combined energies of the individual researchers. The apparatus and its energy fields will at last be able to operate in large, mixed gatherings. The machinery will no longer be subject to the diverse positive and negative energies of the spectators.”

That was the hope and expectation of those researchers and all of their spirit friends working with them from level 3. Unfortunately, they never developed a system that would be impervious to negative thinking among humans present for experiments. (The Scole Group in England had better success in getting good spirit contacts when diverse groups met in their basement lab, but even their results were disrupted when severe skeptics with hard feelings were present.)

Here are a few ITC contacts about life-energy:

1… Technician via radio, 1988 (to Friedrich Malkhoff and Adolf Homes, Germany)

We are sources of energy. The same energy from which you come. I too am only a creator and yet was created. I practically do not exist for you, although through our existence your life becomes possible. Phrases and symbols have no meaning to us. All thoughts of your world are stored with us in patterns of light for eternity. Be assured, as truly as you are, we are and so are many others who live in other realities. Life is existence without end. This is a law for all that is.

2… Technician via computer text (1991)

The closer a person can get to the higher planes of life, the stronger the healing powers become within. The faith of a person and his efforts are like a beam of light which in time can connect to the planes of Light. Across this beam—these bundles of Light energy—you are being given knowledge and strength from our plane. Others joining this light become beneficiaries, and the beam becomes greater. An ailing person coming into this bundle of Light energies can be healed in the most wonderful way, as happens at Lourdes and Fatima. These are locations that have attracted streams of bundled light energies. Individuals who are not healed (those who lack faith) are less receptive to this Light than those who are healed instantly.”

3… Swejen Salter via computer text (1991)

Communication among higher beings is something very special to behold. It is like a reservoir, one big network of communication. Compare it to several computers, except that these are highly evolved, living beings who exchange information as fast as a network of computers. If you speak to one of these beings, all other higher beings are also simultaneously informed of this conversation and at the same time are aware of your entire personality.

Since they have no secrets from each other, one can only get closer to them by being absolutely sincere. Insincerity is alien to them. Nothing remains hidden in their dimension. You sometimes forget in your physical world that sincerity plays a most important part over here.

4a… Technician via radio, 1988

When higher beings form a circle of friends, they actually come together and form a single light.

4b… Technician and Seth 3 speaking as one voice via radio (1991):

We greet you dear friends. These meetings will become important events for all of us. On this side too, we are happy about this cooperation. Through a common frequency we will all become co-builders and creators. The omniverse is like a field of oscillation. These oscillations, whether negative or positive, form the grand universe. As long as beings look for advantages over other beings in existential, emotional or religious areas, the eternal longing for perfection will remain incomplete. Love is the blood that keeps your heart beating. We, whom you call spirits, greet all of you! We shall have to finish as the energy fields in the air are getting very weak.

5… Technician via computer text (1990)

Due to the large amounts of energy exhausted during voice contacts, we will now focus more on computer contacts.

6… Swejen Salter via computer text (1990)

People’s interest in ITC is the most important part of ITC. If there is sufficient interest for us on your side we are real and can take part in the happenings there. Through you, we in turn become strong.

You are still arguing about evidence to prove the existence of the ITC phenomenon. Instead, you should be studying it to find out how the world could be changed with it. For instance, could you bring yourself to accept Sheldrake’s concept of morphogenetic resonance, you would already be a little closer to the matter. Similar structures can indeed be in communication with each other across space and time by means of morphogenetic fields.

7… Swejen Salter via computer text (1990)

Fields affect other fields. The electromagnetic and the 5-dimensional power field are not the same. The electromagnetic field is subject to space/time weakening or distortions. The life-energetic 5-dimensional field is not. Nevertheless, from the laws and actions of the electrical field you can also deduce the attributes of higher dimensional fields. The electromagnetic field is the informational energy of matter. The 5-dimensional field is the energy of life.

If there already existed a 5-dimensional wave receiver and an international organization with the laboratory announced by Manfred Kage, you would be a step closer. The receiver would give you a jumble of receptions similar to your radio receiver. As you know, the impulses at death are already stored in the 5-dimensional fields of some of your objects. You speak of “spook” cases. As a rule these are only stored in cases of more or less violent deaths. This explains the good voices at accidents, murders, etc. Violent death produces modulated waves in the 5-dimensional “channel.” It is obvious that these cause some action in this realm. When considering the millions of violent deaths caused by the constant slaughter of animals and humans, the 5-dimensional field must literally flow over from such shock waves.

These disturbances, says Swejen, cause many mistakes in picture transmission during ITC contacts.

.

For a final note about life-energy, let’s consider a computer metaphor, since the previous article started with a computer metaphor. That’ll bring these two articles full-circle.

Computer Metaphor

To get a better sense of the source and its life-energy, it might help to imagine a computer running without any hardware—no keyboards, no screens, no plugs, no silicon chips…. Just an invisible bundle of brilliant software.

The software operates by itself.

The kernel is the software program at the heart of a computer, the way the source is at the heart of the omniverse. However, the two approach their jobs a little differently.

  • In the computer, the kernel controls just about everything that goes on.
  • In the omniverse, the source simply gives everything life, knowledge, and noble motivations such as love and sincerity. Beyond that, the source expects everything to evolve freely. The living software (life-energy) can create new programs and apps. It can even create hardware that the software can play with if it wants to explore all possibilities… or if it just gets bored.

That might very well be the whole reason for the existence of the material universes like ours, out here on the fringes of the omniverse. The source (the cosmic kernel) with its life-energy (the living software programs and apps) simply want to experiment with new, illusory forms of life that would involve dense form and structure that we call the material universe (the cosmic hardware).

    Mark,

Your writing reminds of a vision I had going into the sun and following
light tunnels back thru central suns and galactic cores into the Heart
of Creation. The light tunnels were like spider webs the Hopi and
Mesoamerican tribes call the White Buffalo Calf Woman by the name Spider

  2. nordavinci says:

    Hello Mark,
Your first reference paragraph reflects the meaning of a trinity, because the MEZA 1 and the devices from the two other cities form a trinity. Similarly Rev. Moon pointed out that if Peter, James and John [three chief disciples] had stayed awake and “watched [prayed]” while Jesus was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane even at his third request, that God would have done a miracle and he would not have been crucified. The similar point about the basic structure of existence comes out in the text of my video/slideshow comment to your last post in which I quote the discussion of the meaning of the Christian Trinity. Here’s the larger quote:

“Because truth, life and love are like one family, love and life must follow truth, and life and truth must also follow love. The same thing is true for life; there, love and truth must also follow.

Why are truth, life and love connected in that way? As you know, in order for one being to exist, centering on that being, there has to be above and below, front and back, and left and right. Anything that exists cannot liberate itself from these three realms. This is the basic structure of existence. Although these three things come together to form one united shape, if the force moves in the opposite direction, then forces that are different from the original ones will appear.

Accordingly, although God is originally a being of love, life and truth, after the fall when human being could not form the balanced triangular structure of love, life and truth, God could not exercise His powers. You must understand this. However, by choosing Abraham and connecting the three points into one, in other words as the three points line up in the straight line to the left and the right, the base on which God can dwell was created. Moreover, when Jesus and the Holy Spirit appear in the place of love, life and truth, that base secured its sense of direction and became closer to the whole earth. To put it another way, when they were lined up in a straight line, there was a long distance between them, but when that line is curved the distance is shortened. In this sense, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are acting as the bridge that connect God and man.”

    [your first reference paragraph]
“When the (new device) MEZA 1 is up and operational, combining the energy fields of the research teams in Luxembourg with those in the two German towns of Rivenich (Adolf Homes) and Schweich (Fritz Malkhoff), the system will no longer need the concentrated, combined energies of the individual researchers. The apparatus and its energy fields will at last be able to operate in large, mixed gatherings. The machinery will no longer be subject to the diverse positive and negative energies of the spectators.”

  3. This post, for me, was penetrating and provocative, and I shall be pondering the following theme throughout my days…”All of our thoughts during a lifetime become energy patterns that are stored in finer realms forever, as a sort of historical record of our existence.”
This sentence and its content sum up this post and the previous one.
I have to add the oft repeated line from Doc in “Back to the Future”….GREAT SCOTT!”
The mystery of Source energy and its myriad and infinite manifestations allows us to have choice and accountability…or not.
If I read and understood one aspect of this post correctly, we become co-creators with Source.
The 7 ITC contact examples are nicely chosen.
    Thank you Mark.

    • Mark Macy says:

      Hi John,
That’s certainly my take from all this.
We’re all co-creators with source… for better or worse.
I also agree, going through those old, amazing contacts reminds me to be aware of my thoughts….
      Mark

Hi Mark, it’s been awhile. Would you like to read my review of After We Die, What Then? Tom

    ________________________________

      Hi Tom,
Absolutely I’d like to read your review!
      Great book.
Please send a link, or email me.
      Mark

    • Mark Macy says:

Hi Tom thanks for sending your review of George Meek’s book “After We Die, What Then?”
I’m posting it below for interested readers.

      BOOK REVIEW BY TOM RAWLINGS

I read After We Die, What Then?, by George W. Meek.
This is a great book, but as a Christian I have a different view than he has on some things. I wonder if there are other Christians who think the same?

Mr. Meek has the ‘arrow of life’s purpose’ going from the earth plane to the celestial plane. From what I gather he thought life is, ultimately, a process of reaching God who is on the celestial plane. He said to get to the goal we have to deserve it, so to speak, by the way we live our life. That is, it is what we achieve that determines our fate. Once we have died and get to the astral plane we can choose to ‘die’ a second time, and then move up to the celestial plane to be with God. If we take a wrong step and don’t reach the goal we can choose to reincarnate and try again.

The way I see it reincarnation may be the way it is for animals, as they evolve the physical form of their species, but I don’t think that’s the way it is for Christians. I don’t think Christians are in a ‘live, die, and repeat’ cycle. Nor do I think that they ‘die’ the second death of the astral body and move up. I think they live by Christ’s words, which show them the truth. This let’s them go on to live forever in the Kingdom of God, through relationships. Christ led them out of the ‘rat race’ for money, power, status, and stuff, so they can now act and think on their own, in their astral body, in heaven. The love Christ taught set them free of the flesh.

As a Christian I think God’s will is all that is real, true, and ‘what is’. And I think his love for us is that we can know it. I think we can know it through Christ, who said he told us all things.

I think all that is untrue, false, and ‘what is not’, cuts us off from God as well as each other. I think this leads to the second death, the death of our astral body, this time through reincarnation. There is evidence of this in ‘past lives’ memories that, in my opinion, are there for the sake of the evolution of the physical form. Just as fang and claw get sharper, brain and mind do too. That’s why intelligence is so sought after in the world as it is now. It’s all for the sake of the life of the flesh. Jesus showed us what makes more sense. He showed us how to not die. That is, to put this fleeting life in true perspective. He taught us to build up our soul instead, through love so we can live in heaven, which the Greeks called the Elysian fields.

I don’t think Christians work their way to God, but go on to live as souls in what Mr. Meek called the Astral Plane. I think Christ called it the Kingdom of God. I think they go on to live as people as they relate to each other in the next world, with a better body than they had on earth. And I think that is what is so incredible about Mr Meek s book… how he explains that we are like an onion, with many layers. To sit on a cloud and strum a harp for eternity would not bore us when were in heaven, since we would be with those we love, and God. And I think there would be more to do there than that.

So I do think the arrow of life’s purpose does go up, but to be more, not less, of what God has made us through Christ. The one he chose to teach us the truth.

I would appreciate reading what others think of these ideas.

      • Kate says:

Hi Tom, I enjoyed reading what you have written. I think any peace loving belief that brings you and others love and joy is right. There’s many different perceptions of the afterlife and if this is the one that resonates with you then it’s not wrong if it doesn’t match what George Meek says, although I do believe George is right…. the possibillites are endless.

        • Kate says:

I should have said I do believe George is right *as well.

        • Tom Rawlings says:

Hi Kate. I was so happy to see a reply. The posts confuse me a little. What seems to be your first reply to me, lower down, refers to the Scoles experiments. Interesting in that it links to Mr Meek’s book and etheric energy, which he goes into in such detail. Please take no offense in what I write… None is intended. You are the first I have corresponded with on this subject since I was in the AAEVP group a long time ago. Aside from Mark, that is. I’m thinking about what you said, that Mr Meek and I are both right, and that the possibilities are endless. I gather you think there is no bottom to it, and therefore it is fruitless to try to get to it. Is that what you mean?

        • Tom Rawlings says:

I now see that there is a reply button under each post. And that we should click on that one if it’s what we are responding to. But then doesn’t that lead to the post being squished?

      • Tom Rawlings says:

Thanks for replying. I read this whole page. Now I see Kate was not at first replying to me, but to Mark’s main article. I’m figuring it out slowly. I’d say I am a basic Christian, in that I believe what CHRIST said as reported in the book of Mark, who I think was his friend. New paragraph: I have spoken with my mom and dad, on the ‘other side’, as have the moms in the AAEVP group who lost their children. Are they not all in the Kingdom of God to which Christ often referred? That is what I tend to think as opposed to Mr Meek’s picture of how things stack up on the other side when we cross over. Is not that the standard view point of most who call themselves Christians? Does the new view of reality that Mr Meek presents consider that senario obsolete and old fashioned?

        • Kate says:

Heaven is in man and those who have heaven within themselves go to heaven. Heaven is in all those who recognize what is of God and let themselves be guided by the Divine. The priority and basic concern of every religion is the acknowledgement of God!

Man forms God according to human images and conceptions. God or the principle is a being which cannot be compared to anything…. The grief and suffering people have to bear is closely connected to free will and personal choice which God’s power has granted to each of us as a great gift. Without free will there is no recognition of truth, which comes from within. Therefore, blind obedience is not what higher powers want. You are living in a time when truth is easily distorted and false speculations about eternal life are quickly passed out as the only truth. God prefers the seeker and those who question. No efforts are spared to advance human thinking and individual initiative from its low animal instincts to a position of spiritual thinking.

Hi Tom, these are extracts from Marks last post Philosophy (number 10)…….messages from the ‘technician’ on the other side….for me all those messages in that article just about sum up all the years of researching I’ve done and my own interpretation of reading the bible on and off most of my life. I’ve come to the conclusion that the only thing that really matters is our own interpretation, the interpretation that leads to harmony, peace, joy………Many wonderful people have different formats on the process of how it all unfolds when we die and I don’t doubt they are all possible which might sound bottomless but our own changing defination of what we believe does define some kind of structure that our human brains want/need. Some of the things we hhave learned through science show that the outcome of an experiment can change merely by observing it and that past, present, future happen at the same time which for me both support my feeling that our reality is unique to us, we are all part of a swirling mass of conciousness and energy. Anita Moorjani who died and came back uses a mirror ball to describe how each one of us is a separate mirror on the same ball. I’m recieving and reflecting my own view point on the mirror ball but if the external conditions change as I expand my mind with information and experience then my ideas/reflection could change (which leads me to be interested in what others think). I’ve tried to answer the bottemless, fruitless question but not sure if I’ve conveyed that in a sensible way very well.

  5. Kate says:

There’s plenty of energy patterns generated by me that I would like to erase. This is a great reminder on the subject of energy and how it affects us and others. Such valuble information coming from the spirit realms. The Scoles were told to have a glass or crystal dome on the table to store energy during thier sessions….I wonder if that would also work with ITC somehow.
Another fascinating and thought provoking article thanks, Mark.

    • Mark Macy says:

I actually purchased one of those crystal domes when I was experimenting in our basement. I didn’t get any good results with it, maybe because I (and my small local group) didn’t have physical mediumship abilities.

      • Kate says:

Could be one of those things that is unique to the Scoles at that particular time with some kind of energy manipulation that isn’t easy to replicate generally by technicians on the other side. Michael Newton wrote about a person who said, under regression, how his spirit practiced manipulating energy to bounce off of a loved ones vocal cords but found it hard when the person was too grief stricken. They used your energy with the phone calls so unless they tell us exactly how it’s done I doubt it will be something we will ever know as humans. Thanks for reply, I won’t rush out to get a crystal dome any time soon.

    • Tom Rawlings says:

Replies to the Mark’s articles are white and not squished. Replies to replies are gray and get squished.

  6. Tom Rawlings says:

This is a test reply to Mark B. To see how this reply board works.

  7. Tom Rawlings says:

Hi Kate, As a ‘doubting Thomas Gemini’ my changing interpretation of reality involves discerning truth from falsehood. For instance, I think the Bible is full of falsehoods. The so called apostle Paul boasted that he lied and the result was the Roman Catholic Church and the Inquisition. I agree that joy is part of God’s will, but there is harmony and peace in the communist state. I think men are made by God to fight such a state of society and of mind to preserve the life that Christ and women bring into the world. Does this resonate with your thinking at all? Thank you for your thoughts.

    • Kate says:

Mellen Thomas (another great speaker, NDE), says that humans are the most graceful thing on Earth and mosquitos are a bigger problem. Graceful things like retirement, charity…innate character of the human soul, he says that in the future it will be illegal to have war.

Gregg Braden talks of raising the vibration of positivity and how this affects Earth and others which through experiments of many people meditating significantly affected the crime rate.

Deepak Chopra describes how in India children are taught spiritual meaning which has led to a more peace loving place.

I can only think that the way of God, devine energy, creator would be to enlighten rather than carry out negative acts. Removing the ones that bring about a swamp of corruption is only short term because unless people learn a different way with altruism embedded into the ego it will keep perpetuating. I have found this very hard to answer, it’s such a multi-faceted subject beyond my knowledge. I know the core things that would make the world a better place but how to implement them is beyond me other than bring enlightenment to the world.

Thanks Tom I’ve thought about this for a couple of days and I’m sure in the process I’ve learned a few things and found the thoughts uplifting.

      • Mark Macy says:

Thanks Kate (and Tom). Your conversation, especially this latest comment about soul-searching and finding God, has helped me a lot while writing my next article. It’s about why we humans suffer. The luminaries you mention are also (like us) walking toward the same truth along parallel paths that often converge. It’s that “truth” I’m struggling to explain clearly as I write the article. I think I’m getting close, thanks to your comments (and also a chat with Regina early this morning). So… thanks again,
        Mark

  8. Truth is like the old concept of the Gateless Gate.
According to the Sufis, God said, “I am a hidden treasure, and I want to be known.”
We don’t know how God came up with that concept and figured out a way to do it. This is just another delicious mystery that we can ponder and try to put words around.
In His yearning to be experienced (and loved!), the Creator and Sustainer of this grand entanglement set in motion a timeless pattern of enfoldments that peaked in our human capacity for spiritual awakening to who and what we really are.
To paraphrase, aspirants of the great traditions have always said that Truth (God) seeks to awaken to itself through us, to see itself in all through our eyes and to taste itself everywhere through our lips.
“That which you are seeking is always seeking you.”
Rumi left us one of his great love teases,
“I have lived on the lip
of insanity, wanting to know reasons,
knocking on a door. It opens.
I’ve been knocking from the inside!”
It seems that Truth lives inside of us as us. Many are called to undertake spiritual activities to awaken to our true nature and essence. These activities are like excavation projects which are designed to unearth and reveal the treasure within.
Types of excavation can be done with bulldozing and cranes, then shovels, then wisk brooms, then sifting. Such an effort!
Rumi left us another beautiful tease about our entanglement:
“You are not a drop in the ocean, you are the whole ocean in a drop.”

    • Mark Macy says:

      Exactly!
Here’s the new opening (below) I wrote this morning for my article about suffering.
It all came together after talking to Regina and reviewing the comments here, especially Kate’s and Tom’s.
Now your comment pulls it together perfectly and gives me lots of raw material for the article… the little bits of truth I plan to sprinkle in throughout the article..

      The article opens like this:

Philosophy 12: Mystics: Why Do We Suffer?
A lifetime on Earth is a dichotomy:
      A. On one hand, there’s a lot of suffering going on in our lives and in our world.
      B. On the other hand, we come to Earth and live our entire lifetime as a perfect being free of pain and suffering.
How is that possible? That’s what this article is about, and here’s a hint:
The first one (A) is an illusion. The second one (B) is the truth.
Most of this article tries to explain the illusion (A), since suffering is so pervasive and captivating every day.
The truth (B) is explained at the end of the article. It’s been explained by many great mystics in many ways down through the ages, and the aim here is just to present their truth as simply and clearly as I can. (There are also a lot of little hints of the truth sprinkled throughout, to keep things in perspective.) You’re welcome to skip to the end to see the truth, but that doesn’t explain why we suffer (or at least seem to). That’s what the rest of the article is for.

      So, thanks John!
      Mark

  9. Tom Rawlings says:

I appreciate this. It’s good to be a part of it. We’re on parallel paths that sometimes cross. May I ask you this? If we did not suffer do you think we could know the truth, and enter the kingdom of God? That is what I think Christ meant when he said take up the cross. I searched the internet for the standard definition of ‘taking up the cross’. I didn’t find a single one that made sense to me. In my opinion they miss the point. Sometimes i think I’m the only person in the world who thinks like I do!

    • Mark Macy says:

Hi Tom, I think the truth (the source) is at the center of everything. You and I, a penguin, a rock, and a carbon atom, all have the truth at the center of our being.
I think we humans suffer so much mainly because we’re all caught up in (and distracted by) all the unruly stuff going on in our world and our lives (caused by the symbiosis that’s become part of Earth living). Getting BACK to the source, by tuning out Earth’s distractions) is what can slowly lift us out of suffering. It’s not a quick, easy fix, though, and suffering might become more acute in the early stages of the process.
I hope that makes sense, it’s kind of what I’m writing about in the next article.
      Mark

    • Mark Macy says:

PS… I’m probably not qualified to try to interpret Christ’s cross and crucifixion experience. It certainly seems to pertain to suffering, but individuals should probably interpret these things in ways that resonate with them. Bright minds have come up with better interpretations than I could.

    • Mark Macy says:

PSS – I suspect that resonating with the spirit of Christ is among the most effective ways to get back to the source and rise out of suffering.

  10. Tom Rawlings says:

Mark you remind me of my dad. I like to think we are friends. I am a loner and have very very few friends. I think I’m made this way and hope there’s some good in it. Maybe Kate could be another internet friend. I say this because I can feel myself getting older and very much want to have tried my best to do my best before I cross over. Mom would say, ‘do your best and leave the rest’. She’d also say, ‘Tom, don’t worry about others, just make sure that YOU do the right thing’. Those words are foremost in my mind a lot lately. I’m sharing this because I’d like to be known by at least a few others before I die, as well as try to share what I’ve learned from my unusual life. To get back to the point I made in my last post, I think we, in this country, are spoiled. The people who have lived in this old house of mine were a lot less spoiled than we are. When I moved here there were literally HUNDREDS of canning jars I had to discard. Many were full of food they had canned. I don’t know if this was a serious source of food for them or more of a hobby, but can you IMAGINE what life was like in the past? Having to put a seed in the ground, nurture it till the fruit was ripe, then preserve it, to live? I can’t. But I have to think that their harder lifestyle gave them a different, and maybe, clearer, understanding of what Christ was trying to teach us, that his hard life, that ended on the cross, is SOMEHOW important in the big trip Mr Meek writes about so well in his book. Do you see what I mean? If you don’t post this I will understand and beg your pardon. Tom

    • Your mother gave the best advice possible that a mother can give, and left you to fill in the details of how that dynamic would play out in your life.
She came from the generation that made their way through the Great Depression and WWII…just like the previous owners of your home. The earlier generations were more resilient and self sufficient.
They lived by a useful motto for clean, minimalist, low impact, practical living…”Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.”

I recall that Christ had some things to say about the fear that we all seem to be entangled with to an unnecessary extent.
Fear and guilt and shame and grief are emotions that contract the heart and interfere with its connection to all the things Mark has been writing about ever since he started writing.

  11. Tom Rawlings says:

Thanks John for that feedback on my mom’s advice to me. You hit the nail on the head regarding my mom’s generation. Her dad had four jobs to keep food on the table in the depression. My dad’s dad was a lawyer in DC… and married beneath his class when he married mom. That shows HIS wisdom. I’m lucky having had such parents. Anyway, they have communicated to me from where they are now (though that’s too much for my siblings to believe, which is sad, if you know what I mean ) I’m studying Mr Meek’s book closely, using the common sense God gave me to figure it out, unfortunately on my own. I struggle with the ‘new age’ thinking of today, and my own ‘common sense’ thinking of the past. Thanks again for your input and Mark’s and Kate’s as well.

  12. Tom Rawlings says:

Thanks John for that feedback on my mom’s advice to me. I’ve just been on the phone the last hour with my cousin Fred. He’s of German descent and was telling me all about recycling here in New York State. It’s a good thing, but it’s hard to get out of bad habits in our disposable society. You hit the nail on the head regarding my mom’s generation. Her dad had four jobs to keep food on the table in the depression. My dad’s dad was a lawyer in DC… and married beneath his class when he married mom. That shows HIS wisdom. I’m lucky having had such parents. • Tom Rawlings says:

Sorry I posted this twice. I get confused. I wanted to add one thing. I’m what I’d call a mechanic. My sister’s are what I’d call poets, which is what I’d call most who post here. Anyway, I think if we used our common sense like they used to do in the old days we could see our loved ones in the ‘flesh’, as my friend Chris in England did in a sceance with Leslie Flint.

      • Tom Rawlings says:

Mark, I don’t know if I should post this question here, but here goes: I’ve just been on the Leslie Flint Trust website and listened to a recording of a ‘Dr Marshall’, who spoke from spirit. It’s louder and clearer than yours with Dr Raudive which makes yours more credible to me. I’ve recorded faint replies, so i know it’s true, but you’ve had this, and I assume other, incredible ones. Why, with your experience, do you think there is so little interest in it?

  13. Mark Macy says:

    Hey Tom,

Leslie Flint’s work is a different type of spirit communication that’s also legitimate.

For a physical “direct voice” medium like Leslie Flint, there’s no electronic equipment involved. Spirit creates what George Meek called “an etheric voicebox” that wobbles in the air adjacent to Leslie’s throat. Someone in spirit is able to “talk” through that very clearly with thoughtforms (and words and sentences) that they were familiar with on Earth. It’s extraordinary!

With ITC contacts like my phone call they (spirit) have to manipulate the electromagnetic energies of our technical devices, and there are powerful beings “over there” that can modulate it all into voices, words, and sentences that we recognize. Even more extraordinary!… and it involves a lot more life-energy on their part to make ITC oontacts, I think.

Anyway, good physical mediums like Leslie Flint (or the Australian fellow David Thompson) are legitimate… and highly gifted by our standards.

    • Mark Macy says:

PS, Tom… I’m kind of loner too. Don’t get out much, spend most of my time reading, and writing on this site.
Being introverted, maybe as a sort of overcompensation, I often get overly friendly with people I don’t really know in my comments and emails. Fortunately my wife Regina is “out there” with lots of friends and groups. (I’m REALLY friendly with her; we get along great.) I think her presence in my life helps to keep me in check with my tendency to get overly familiar with people.
Still, this is not an easy world to live in, and open, sincere friendships are almost always a good thing!
I enjoy very much the dialogs on this site.
      Mark

    • Mark Macy says:

PSS— Tom, I think the reason why people aren’t more interested in afterlife communications is because there are a lot of troubling variables. That’s what I’m trying to write about now, with my next article about ‘Mystics: Why People Suffer’. Very complicated. Very difficult. But I’m trying to polish it all down to something sensible.
In a nutshell, there’s a lot going on over there in ‘the afterlife.’ Most of it is great… lots of finer beings supporting us on Earth as we struggle to find the light or the truth or the source. But there are also some not-so-nice things going on imperceptibly near the Earth that can add troubles and confusion to our lives.
I think most people sense these complications, and so they’re careful about what other-worldly things they latch on to.
      Hope that makes sense,
      Mark

      • Tom Rawlings says:

Very, Very informative and helpful. Thanks. Here is what I wanted to share: To follow Christ for ME is to aim high for the Kingdom of God as the destination of my soul. And I think it IS to suffer since SATAN rules this world. I can see how he rules through the injustice of debt based money. I think to have suffered is good since it keeps us out of this plane when we cross over. There is great temptation here not to aim high, but low, for all the stuff we can get when we do. Jesus talked about it when he said we would be seduced, ‘even the elect’. They asked him about status in heaven and he said it was not his to give. That tells me there are levels, high, medium, and low, and there is ‘not to enter at all’, since Christ said it would be harder for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than
for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. What becomes of those who don’t get in?
I think they reincarnate. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to come back to this plane in the memory of some one else, perhaps who will not make it into heaven either, and so, be pushed even further back in another person’s mind as I fade into
non existence. Mark, Kate, John, I hope we all meet on the Elysian fields! The other
thought I had is this. To say what ‘resonates’ with a person doesn’t indicate WHAT is resonating, his body or his soul! Thanks for letting me share these thoughts. After I wrote that piece I had a dream where you, Mark, and others came to visit me. It was interesting. Does ‘Indianapolis’ ring any bells for anyone?

        • John R.M. Day says:

Indianapolis…yeah….that’s where a certain college football team I cheer for is going to win its 19th National Championship on Monday, January 10, 2022.
          Many spirits will be watching.
          You better tune in Tom.

            • John R.M. Day says:

              Now you’re talking!
If you cheer for the right college football half of your worries and concerns just vanish right off the bat.
While we hang out being couch potato cheerleaders we can just let Mark figure out the Truth. Once he figures it out, he’ll let us all know.
Until then we have the 23rd Psalm as a balm for all of the rest of our worries that the fickle world of college football doesn’t take care of.
This is a simple strategy that helps keep me mindless and unaccountable for having to take care of any more responsibilites than is absolutely necessary.
Just kidding, of course, but you catch my drift about poking fun at our worrying.

We worry for so many seemingly important reasons.
              Fear of scarcity or lack.
Fear of not being good enough.
              Fear of rejection.
              Fear of loss of control.

After a lifetime of cultivating these fears, we have the fear of death….the fear of being reborn into the world of Spirt from which we came….imagine that!
Remember the lines in Psalm 23 for times when the mind is too busy cultivating worry.
“He leadeth me beside the still waters,
              He restoreth my soul…”

There is also Matthew 6:25-30 for more reassurance.
Somehow in this valley of the shadow of death it all works out.
I don’t know how it all works out, but I figure I don’t need to know cause one of these days I will see through that glass, not darkly, but face to face.

  14. Tom Rawlings says:

Mark, it’s so good to see your replies. Will enjoy reading … But I want to work on a little piece before it slips from memory… Would you agree this is serious business we all are engaging in here? This is the stuff Christ was talking about is it not? Will put these thoughts together now, post them, then enjoy your replies. (BTW saying you remind me of dad (Dadda) was a great compliment if you wondered.)

Reading these comments is heart warming and some great things have been asked or said by everyone. We are all truth seekers. I’m looking forwards to the next article. Much love to everyone over the holiday season and beyond.

What a great Christmas gift I woke up to just now… all these amazing comments.

Well, I climbed that proverbial mountain and found the truth while writing the next article, about suffering. Surprise surprise. You guys were already there apparently, along with millions of others gazing at that beautiful truth. A few strangers noticed this newcomer and told me, “Hey, glad you could make it.”

I’ll post the article tomorrow, and you’ll see what I mean.

Love and happy new year to you all as well!

Going downstairs to watch it wondeful life, then Gladiator… I want to see how he says ‘Elysian’ fields! Merry Merry Christmas!!!
